Might Sarah Palin Go On the Attack Tonight?
ABC’s Kate Snow takes a crack at what we might expect tonight in the 90 minute showdown between Biden and Palin. The debate has only gotten more important in light of fresh polling that shows a rise in the numbers of Americans who are unsure of Palin’s readiness to do the job. Snow reports that in Palin’s interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity, the VP candidate may have telegraphed a line of attack she will take tonight: challenging Obama on taxes & funding for US troops.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Barack Obama attracting 51% of the vote while John McCain earns 44%. This seven-point advantage is the largest yet enjoyed by Obama during Election 2008 and is consistent with the stable lead he has enjoyed over the past week.

After the remarks that she’s made lately, attacking with insufficient ammo might not be such a great idea. I’m pretty sure that tonight she will finally be pressed to be “specific” and “germane”.

I think the McCain campaign has been “sandbagging” with Palin’s abilities and that she will do fine tonight, thus, have the pundits score it a victory.
whatever…McCain and Palin lost my vote a long time ago…

Dan Quayle went “on the attack” in 1992.
Lot of good that did him. They lost.

depends if Putin “rears his head” and there is a button nearby.

I am looking forwrd to seeing if Ms Palin can hold her own on the national stage. If she does not do better than she has done with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric, she should resign.
In the south, we have statements that says, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen or if you can’t play with the big dogs, stay on the porch. It is put up or shut time.

She should have joined the McCain team as a warm-up act and not as his VP pick.

While the national level may be somewhat new, I think she will do well against Biden. Why? Because he’s been in the government for 30 years or so and doesn’t have much to show for it, except plagiarizing a speech. The two of them are a great team. Lots of rhetoric and minimal accomplishments. A solid resume for the white house. Especially offering to fund this and that apparently without knowing the limits on discretionary funds. At least McCain measured his comments because he knows the reality of the federal budget.

She running for VP still remain like a bad twilite zone episode.

LOL. “sandbagging” so much that she has proved to be inept, that if she has a good day everyone will say that Biden had a bad day and then ignore her.

Does the country need a pit bull with fleas as our next VP? Poor Sara six pack is only worth a million plus. Just like our average joe.

At our house we just watched the HBO DVDs about John Adams, whose VP was Thomas Jefferson. The sacrifices each made to defend America and its hard-won liberties were honorable and brilliant. Then we have Ms. Joe Six-Pack, who apparently can’t put three words together without gettin’ in trouble and lettin’ her defenders cry foul. Puleeze.

Forever a “Post Turtle”, but tonight she will put on a combat helmet to go with the shell she is going to retreat into.

RE: The Keating Five
This refers to the five senators in this investigation: Only three were found guilty: Alan Cranston -Democrat of CA; Dennis Deconcni – Democrat of AZ;
Donald Riegle – Democrat of MI -
John Glenn – Democrat of OH AND
John McCain – Republican of AZ were both
found innocent. I say that McCain is in
pretty good company with a person like
John Glenn.
It was good, however, that a major
investigation was made. I hope a major
investigation is made into the failure
of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and all the
rest.
In the past, banks were kept small for
a reason. Now we have these
‘super banks’. The bigger they are,
the harder they fall. Who’s gonna pay?

We know how this is going to go…Palin attacking and disrespecting Obama and sometimes Biden; and Joe can’t respond or he’ll be deemed sexist…I say, forget all that. If she gets out of line, Give her He11 Joe; and make her look dumb if need be. We’ll deal with the criticism and consequences tomorrow!
Obama/Biden

Come on, dems. Address the issue of the
Keating Five. (John Glenn and John McCain were found innocent) The other three senators (all democrats) were
found guilty.
Any comment from the dems about this?
Or are we on the same tired slogans?
You can always call me a “liar”.
That’s another fine slogan of the dems.
More slogans – the less we have to think for ourselves. Talk about opiate
of the masses!!!
