NY Times: Is Obama Camp Properly Vetting All Its Donors?

Ok, here we go again. The McCain campaign has surpressed the Palin report on her corruption and now they are claiming Obama is corrupt!!!

People are fools wanting to elect someone they don’t know, and what they do know is not good. That makes no sense. The truth about that man is beginning to bleed through.. he just couldn’t keep it all quiet long enough.

nielPA: you got that question right. It seems like they’re beginning to realize they didn’t as the facts begin to seep into the news. Shame on the media.

Over the last two years this country has vetted and vetted and vetted Obama. If you don’t like him just say so. Don’t say you don’t know him.
As for Palin, everyday something else comes out. BTW, why arent; they releasing the investigation results?

I agree, we should not elect someone we don’t know. We have had 4 years to get to know Obama. If you don’t know what he is about, it is your fault. The problem is that people want to use that as an excuse to NOT vote for him, because with McCain it’s hard to find anything that makes people WANT to vote for him. Otherwise, republicans wouldn’t spend all of their time tearing down Obama.
However, Palin we know nothing about her. People can’t even ask her question.
I find it rather interesting that the republicans are foolish enough to harp about Obama’s experience but are blind to Palin’s lack of experience.

The media hasn’t vetted Obama. They take whatever he says and believes it.

It’s funny that a story that questions Obama’s integerity and sincerity – the Obama followers try to respond by bringing up John McCain.

Every since Obama resused public financing, the McCain camp have been trying to discredit his donors. Now they are trying to get the media behind them. Problem is, it won’t work. We are too late in the game and nothing will stop the landslide that is about to occur.

Why are some of you comparing the Repub VP pick to the Dem Pres pick? Is that all you’ve got? That’s a common tactic in an argument… and it is called deflection of the issue at hand. How sad that is the only defense for Obama is, “look at Palin!” What are you people smoking? A new story on MSNBC talks about some secret meeting (not publicized so take that how you want to) where Obama was speaking to muslim faith groups where activists were present. What a fool he is. Or is he.
Obama is one scary dude. And he can denounce all he wants until he’s a 102. Actions speak much louder than words. And that fact has been around alot at least since Obama was 8 years old.

Darn so y’all are saying we can’t discuss Wright or Ayers…ok then how about Farrakhan, preaching that Obama is the messiah…that work for you.

I’m glad Obama is only ahead in the poles. I guess that be north and south. Yeah, I’m confident that had Obama been in office these last 8 yrs that the stock market would be in much better shape. I’m sure he would have seen it coming and headed it off at the pass. He’s just an attorney and another politician who is trying to pass himself off as different. Wake up people!

for every amount. It also shows where he returned donations over the legal amoount. Learn how to read.
Also, the media cottles poor little OBAMA. And when he wants to seperate himself from his past ties, he seems to studder and stammer his way through and come out smelling like a rose. Be very careful AMERICA… every ROSE has THORNS!

oh sure, Obama was vetted for the last 4 years. That is a joke. The media was busy propping up their golden boy during that time, so the facts about his connections caught a little blip in the news here and there. That’s not vetting, or being honest with the public. You know what you didnt’ hear. You also know that if there was any good ‘dirt’ like that about Palin or McCain it would headline news. That should tell you something. Reality check needed here.

I would like to know why everyone is so afraid of Palin. And please don’t bring up that it is b/c she wanted an ex-brother in law out of his job as a police officer b/c he tasered his 10 yr old stepson. That makes her a hero not a criminal.

mssmith…well McCain has been in the Senate for what….25-30 years. Has he changed anything? NO….did he fight to stop deregualtion…NO…the fault lies with everyone in the Congress not just Obama.

If you want to go a step farther, McCain actually stalled regulators on behalf of Charles Keating.
By doing so caused over $3 billion in American’s retirement and life savings to be swindled.
McCain aided a convicted felon. That’s not “guilt by association”. That’s participation!

One of the angry members of the audience in Wakesha, WI (not sure of the speclling) commented that “we are the product of our associations.” That depends on how strong those associations were—. It is also true that we can have a relationship with people we don’t agree with. I have a number of friends for whom I have much respect and they respect me—-do we agree with each other on all issues—-no. I happen to be conservative on some issues and liberal on others. At this point I believe Obama has the steadier hand on the issues. McCain and Palin have said or done nothing to change my mind.

Tell me, what should the law do now?

It’s very tricky and a very sticky
situation – no matter who you are
voting for.
It, however, needs to be examined and
not swept under the rug.
Lets move forward and find a solution
to this problem for now and for future
elections.
