Palin Expands Ayers Attack

ABC News’ Imitiyaz Delawala reports: For the fourth day in a row, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin attacked Barack Obama’s association with former 60′s radical William Ayers in an attempt to raise questions about Obama’s judgment.

At an outdoor rally before thousands of enthusiastic supporters in Jacksonville, Florida this morning, Palin raised her now-regular criticism tying Obama to Ayers, a founding member of the Weather Underground group which claimed responsibility for bombings at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol in the early 1970s.

Palin  called Ayers one of Obama’s "earliest supporters" for hosting a 1995 meeting kicking off Obama’s bid for the Illinois State Senate. She mocked claims this week by the Obama campaign that the Democratic presidential nominee did not know about Ayers’ past before the 1995 meeting.

"Now our opponent’s campaign is claiming for the first time, Barack Obama wasn’t aware of Ayers’ radical background. Barack recently remembered him as just a guy in the neighborhood," Palin said.  "Wait a minute there. You mean to tell me he didn’t know he had launched his own political career in the living room of a domestic terrorist?"

Palin then expanded the attack on Obama’s judgement, questioning Obama’s association with former Fannie Mae executives Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson. Johnson briefly served as the head of Obama’s vice presidential selection committee this summer, but resigned after reports came out that he received 7 million in mortgage loans with rates below market averages from lender Countrywide Financial. The McCain campaign has accused Obama of seeking economic advice from Raines–who while is an Obama supporter,  has not served as an official advisor to the Senator.

"You know, what’s next, claiming that he didn’t know two of his biggest supporters were running Fannie Mae, the subprime mortgage giant? Palin said. "Maybe he thought they were just guys in the Washington neighborhood."

Palin continued the line of attack by questioning Obama’s judgment in saying he would meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"And since he got called out on his plans to meet unconditionally with terror state leaders like Ahmadinejad, will he now claim he was unaware of his radical background?" Palin added, in mocking reference to Obama saying at a Democratic primary debate last year that he would meet leaders of rogue states without preconditions.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this election is about the truthfulness and judgment needed in our next president," Palin concluded. "John McCain has it and Barack Obama doesn’t."

Some republicans from Chicago are saying what most of us knew all along. Bill Ayers was a commonly acceptable figure in Chicago by everyone–Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans.
Are they all America hating, terrorist loving traitors to America?!
In fact, this NPR piece speaks to the Republican funded cause that Obama and Ayers worked on together. And that:
_______________________
“It was never a concern by any of us in the Chicago school reform movement that he had led a fugitive life years earlier,” said former Illinois state Republican Rep. Diana Nelson, who worked with both Obama and Ayers over the years. “It’s ridiculous. There is no reason at all to smear Barack Obama with this association. It’s nonsensical, and it just makes me crazy. It’s so silly.”
_______________________________________________
Yesterday, in a rehash of the MSM acknowledged issues of the day, NPR did a short piece on Obama and Ayers. Fortunately for many, they made news.
First, Obama began working with Ayers and others (Republicans, Independents, and Democrats) at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Well, what is the Anneberg Challenge? Who is Annenberg? Well according to NPR,
____________________________
The Obama campaign says he first met Ayers in 1995, when Obama became chair of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a $50 million fund that awarded grants to groups trying to implement new programs to improve inner city education in Chicago.
Walter Annenberg, a lifelong Republican and former ambassador who was appointed by Presidents Nixon and Reagan, funded an ambitious program to reform urban education in many cities in the mid 1990s. Ayers was an important member of the group that developed and wrote the grant proposal to the Annenberg Foundation.
___________________________________
Second, there were people of all political persuasions working on this effort with this “terrorist” Ayers and who saw him as acceptable and Obama was no closer than any of the others.
________________________________________
…no one on the board or on the Annenberg Challenge staff remembers Obama being any closer to Ayers than to any other member of the board. The Annenberg board also included several civic, business and education leaders, many of them Republicans…
__________________________
In fact one person close to the issue states:
_____________________________
“I don’t remember ever hearing anyone raise concerns or questions or concerns about [Ayers'] background,” says Anne Hallett, who has worked closely with Ayers on the Annenberg Challenge grant and with Obama on education and other community and legislative matters. “And that included everybody I was engaged with,” including prominent Republicans, and corporate and civic leaders in Chicago, Hallett adds.
___________________________________
So not only was Obama working on a Republican funded initiative, but prominent Republicans were involved on the board with Ayers.
Do they all hate America so much that they are “palling” around with terrorist? He had been in their midst for years, why did not the Republicans run him out of town?
Ayers had been there for years, building a reputation that was so mainstream that a life long Republican, who was a former Ambassador appointed by Nixon and Regan, allowed the release of $50 Million to let him, prominent Republicans, corporate, civic leaders, and a Harvard trained community organizer form a board to oversee the disbursement of these funds related to school reform.
___________________________
“Hallett calls this attack on Obama’s association with Ayers and the Annenberg Challenge by further association, “a smear campaign. It’s a political diatribe that has no basis in fact. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was an extremely positive initiative. It was well-vetted, thorough, and the fact that it is now is being used for political purposes is, in my opinion, outrageous.”

The DOW is down 510 points again today. Palin’s politics of sleaze does not help the American people. Palin, please sit down with a reporter at Bloomberg or CNBC and talk details of our economy.

Palin’s husband was a member of the Alaska Independence Party, run by Joe Vogler who declared to everyone and anyone that he hated America. She spoke at their last convention. McCain was a board member of a group that colaborated with Nazis and supported death squads. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Why would Barack Obama and the DNC File a Motion to Delay Delivery of Obama’s Citizenship Documents?
Well, I’ll take a wild guess. Maybe he doesn’t have any that haven’t been Photoshopped.
It seems that Obama’s team assumed that this case would be dismissed by now. But the judge is taking his time; not sure what that means…
In the meantime, Berg’s original Request for Discovery, or “Production of Documents,” filed on Sept. 15, gave Obama until Oct. 15 to cough up citizenship documents, including a valid Birth Certificate.
Now, reasonable people — you know all those folks who called us conspiracy theorists — are starting to wonder why Obama doesn’t just hand over the damn documents. Berg has even stated for the record that he would drop the lawsuit if Obama will present certified evidence of his sole US citizenship and birth record.
How simple and quick it would be for most of us to produce official copies of basic records related to our existence. But apparently this is not the case for Obama.
Well, none of the writers for this blog are surprised.
Meanwhile, Berg filed his own motion today, as he seeks to amend his original complaint based on new information related to Obama’s Indonesian citizenship and “other pertinent facts,” his office reported to me.
Many people across the spectrum dismiss Philip Berg as the “9/11 nut.” Well, let them. I haven’t analyzed Berg’s professional history in detail. But I can tell you this, and I’ll stand by it: Whether this particular lawsuit survives at the trial court or proceeds to appeal — It has merits. And ultimately, one way or another, the issues will be heard and the outcome will not be favorable for Mr. Obama.
Stay tuned.
UPDATES:
Atlas Shrugs posted an interesting addendum to this story, in which she nails Factcheck.org for stealth-editing their COLB image. Incidentally, the TD Blog still gets hits from that bogus “Born in the USA” article by Factcheck, which I responded to immediately with this post.
ALSO, Berg updated his site Monday to express outrage at the Obama/DNC delay tactic, proclaiming that “It is believed Obama is an ‘illegal alien’.” Indeed it is, Mr. Berg, as WE believe that’s probably true too. Otherwise, why wouldn’t Obama produce the birth certificate, declaration of citizenship, and other essential identity documents? I’ve had to produce more for some jobs I’ve sought than this guy has offered as a presidential prospect.

If she were running for President, or had credibility as a candidate…We would destroy her, for her associations…She married a man who wanted to seperate from the U.S. She is ducking an investigation. So, character questions is something she can’t ask.She is purely saying off the wall things, because she knows Obama or Biden isn’t going to respond. Her voice means nothing in this race.

Not really news anymore is it? But if it makes Palin feel better, I promise not to vote for Ayers, Wright, her idiotic witchcraft preacher either, or John McCain’s love interest from the Navy.

Whose looking backwards now Sarah?
This is old, and tired, news. The DOW is dropping day after day…and McCain/Palin won’t talk about it.
So you don’t like the topic of the day do you John? I guess life isn’t fair huh?

Palin attacks Obama in her stump speeches and people in the audience yell
“Kill him”
“Treason”
and in McCains stump speech after attacking Obama someone yelled
“Terrorist”
This is invoking hatred and its time to stop this.
The media by not reporting or calling the McCain campaign on this is condoning this type of action.
This has gone way over the line and its bad enough this country is in 2 wars and also fighting an economy war, but we do not need a filty campaign as is the McCain/Palin campaign, encouraging another human being to be killed.
To ABC and the rest of the MSM, quit being afraid of Palin/McCain just because they hurt your feelings… start reporting on things that matter.

I’m reading the blogs and Palin is dropping like the Dow in likability. She was tolerate up until yesterday, but it is turning to hatred since her speach about Obama being a terrorist and someone yelling Kill Kill Kill. She is really not qualified to speak in public with such stupidity. She is easily the most hated woman in America today and dropping. McCainand Palin are really doing themselves no good at all!

Hey Pamela:
Only one lying here is your man Obama.
I think you better go to CNN.com and click on the politics link, view the video report just posted 1 hour ago showing how involved Obama was with Bill Ayers!
CNN is not known to be on the Republican side of anything, but I have to admit this is going to blow Obama out of the water! The report clearly points out just how much Obama and Ayers were involved on these boards, and where they sent the these funds.
Funny how CNN finds that money was given to the Rev. Wright’s church! Obama claims not to know this man Ayer’s when clearly this report blows his story away!
I am really surprised CNN did this report, I guess they figured that eventually this stuff would come out so they better be ahead of the other liberal media groups!
Enjoy the report Pamela and all you Liberals! It is all downhill from here for Obama and his radical group of friends!

“I saw no evidence of a radical streak, either overt or covert, when we were together at Harvard Law School,” said Bradford A. Berenson, who worked on the Harvard Law Review with Mr. Obama and who served as associate White House counsel under President Bush. Mr. Berenson, who is backing Mr. McCain, described his fellow student as “a pragmatic liberal” whose moderation frustrated others at the law review whose views were much farther to the left.

The DOW is dropping because we gave loans to people who couldn’t afford them.
The loans that Franks boyfriends company was giving and Obama, Shurmer, and Dodd were getting donations from those executives.

1. Ayers couldn’t accomplish what he wanted with bombs.
2. h So then e decided to teach his terrorist principles to school children.
3. He got a grant to start a foundation to do this.
4. Obama ran the foundation for six years.
What’s so hard to understand?

rdorr – thank you for the information. This was not information that I had heard previously.
I would think that anyone trashing someone for this kind of association should re-think it. If Republicans are speaking out against this smear and calling it such, then the RNC and McCain/Palin need to think again. By reasoning Palin is using, then all the people on the board should be called terrorists or terrorist supporters.
I highly doubt a former Reagan ambassador can be considered a terrorist.

Palin should keep her mouth shut concerning Obama’s supposed relationship with Bill Ayers. They were acquaintances on a professional basis, that’s it. They didn’t “pal around” together. He is much older than Obama. Palin is a pea brain, to say the least. If and When she appears on Meet The Press or Face The Nation and has something intelligent to say when she is questioned, then I might gain a little respect for her. Until then, she should shut her trap cause only garbage is coming out of it.

What about McCain’s associations with Raffaello Follieri? Follieri pled guilty to multi-million dollars of fraud and money laundering. McCain celebrated his 70th birthday on Follieri’s yatch and was seen boarding Follieri’s yacht in Montenegro in August, after Follieri pled guilty to the charges.
Maybe McCain’s plan to get us out of this economic problem is to get advice from people who know how to swindle people out of money.

Doesn’t Palin know that the Annenberg, as in the Annenberg Challenge, was a long-time Nixon/Reagan friend and supporter?
Does anyone think that the conservative Annenberg Foundation would give money to a “terrorist?”
If Obama is being smeared for working with Ayers, who got the Annenberg Challenge money for Chicago schools, wouldn’t that make the Annenberg Foundation a “supporter of terrorists?”

Who is the true terrorist here???
Sarah I hate to tell you this but several people served on the same board. One was a priest. Our you calling all them terrorist also??? They worked just as close to him as Obama, and what about all the students and professors of the college for years worked side by side this man, are they also terrorist?
And what about McCain?? What about Keating 5, yes he found not guilty but he was still very very good friends with the guy who was found guilty?
What about the US Council For World Freedom. You want some bad crap… this is bad.
Let not forget Sarah Palin association’s with the radical Alaska Independence Party that wants to secede from this great country, the United States of America.
And here is a quote from Alaskan Independence Party founder Joe Voegler:
“The fires of Hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government, and I won’t be buried under their damn flag!”
I wonder how Palin explains her husband”s verified membership in the “ALASKIAN INDEPENDENCE PARTY?” Seems she doesn”t believe in the UNITED States of America, does she??
hey Sarah, go ahead and bring up Obama’s pastor…
I’ll take an angry marine pastor over some witch doctor…
and also don’t forget McCain’s pastor(s) the one who said New Orleans desrved what it got, it was punishment from God…
STOP THE MADNESS. I JUST LOST MY A** IN MY 401K AT THE AGE OF 50. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN FROM THIS MOMENT ON.
I have sat at my work desk all week with nothing to do but blog. I pray I still have a job come Friday. What is wrong with you people. McCain/Palin have nothing to offer anyone. They can’t even help themselves. Open your eyes and stop being stupid. Let the facts drain into that brain. Go do fact finds on McCains plans… They will destroy the middle class. You can’t have a country without the middle class. Stop just stop.

Re: The INSANE photoshopping claims. Obama has had a US passport since he was a kid. You have to send a copy of your birth certificate (or other citizenship documents) to establish citizenship for a passport. Anyone who has gotten a passport knows this. His passport (and the records establishing his citizenship) would have been reviewed every time he renewed his passport.
Of course, his first application was long before there was anything called “photo-shopping”. To assert that Obama photoshopped his passport when he was a boy inicates the ultimate depths of absurd lying that the right wing operatives are willing to sink.

She and her husband are members of a group that wants Alaska to secede from the U.S. She attends a church where her pastor proudly claims he cast a witch out of a community. Palin and McCain are showing their true colors in their desperate attempt to mislead voters and steal this election.
They’ve both proven themselves to be confused, uneducated, hateful, uber-ambitious, self-serving, right-wing extremists, eager to play the race/gender/class/character/fear card.
They epitomize everything wrong with Washington politics – they are, by far, the very dirtiest of candidates – moderate “mavericks” they are not.
They are pathetic cartoon characters who attract the scariest backwoods extremists and warmongers to their rallies and use inflammatory remarks to stir emotions, prey on fears, and even encourage bigotry and incite verbal threats against the opposition.
They are dragging this campaign and our country down into gutter. They are an utter disgrace.

Palin/McCain, read this:
Study: 8 out of 10 Americans stressed because of economy

Posted by: newz4i | October 7, 2008, 1:07 pm 1:07 pm

It really surprises me how ignorant the American people are and how willing they are to remain ignorant. It also is amazing to me that people will vote for someone merely based on party although that vote may mean the election of someone who may destroy their lifestyles if not their very lives. People are more than willing to listen to words rather than look at actions, I guess because they believe ignorance is bliss or they simply don’t care (I don’t know which is worse). Yet ignorance led to the rise of Hitler, World War II, the Holocaust, the rise of Fidel Castro, Idi Amin, and the list goes on.
So many people on this site are willing to shove Obama’s associations under the rug because he’s 1) a democrat, 2) McCain has had his fair share of scandals, and 3) the economy collapsed under Republicans. Number One is inarguable, every one votes along party lines unless something truly scares them about their party candidate or the other guy really connects with them on a particular issue. The second argument holds some water: McCain has had his share of scandals (the main one I hear about is the Keating 5 of which McCain was largely exonerated and happened 20 years ago). There are a couple others and if these scandals truly concern you then Obama’s should as well, but party lines tend to blind you. McCain’s people will turn a blind eye to his scandals and Obama’s people will turn a blind eye to Obama’s scandals. The third argument I could write a paper on. The main points though are that the financial crisis did not occur just because of Republicans. It occurred because of the actions, rules, regulations, and good ole boy reciprocity that the American people have allowed to happen over a thirty-year period under both republicans and democrats.
Now many of you may believe that you have figured me out and that I’m a McCain supporter and will therefore just blow me off, right smears about me or just go on another McCain smear. That is not the truth because I am not voting FOR either of these candidates. I will McCain down on my ballot because I believe Obama is the worse of the two evils, but I do not truly support McCain. I hope the day will come when I can vote for someone that I do support and who I believe will ACT in the best interests of the American people and not just one demographic, but all demographics.
But let me ask you this since the majority of the people on this site are Obama supporters. How can you believe that Obama is not a radical leftist who supports those who hate Americans and Jews when 1) he got to his position through the support of corrupt individuals, unrepentant terrorists, and organizations that use intimidation to gain power. It’s not just Rezko (slum lord), Ayers (who was not convicted because of legal technicalities), Wright and Flager (prechers of hate who shame their positions). It is also the fact that Obama gave $70,000 to Rashid Khalidi (former President of the Arab American Action Network), who worked on behalf of an organization that sponsored terrorism against Jews. By associating with these people, gaining power through them, and then minimizing his relationship with these immoral individuals and their activities, Obama legitimizes their power and ideals. He therefore passively supports those hate filled activities and words even if he does not outright condone them. These people: Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Flager, Khalidi, and others do not deserve any respect or power and yet Obama shows respect to these people and legitimizes their actions, thus giving them more power. While I have concerns about McCain, his actions and associations do not scare me the way Obama’s does and people have a reason to be terrified if Obama is elected President.
Again if this truly does not concern you, then what makes you believe Obama will be an effective President? He worked as a community organizer/lobbyist for years where he received millions of dollars to fund projects in Chicago. Yet during that time poverty, crime rates, and schools did not improve. Instead Obama just wasted millions of tax payer dollars at best, while furthering his career and the careers of corrupt individuals.
A person’s past shows you how a person will act in the future but basically the majority of the people on this site would rather ignore Obama’s past and focus on his words that contradict his actions. I guess again for many of you, ignorance is bliss.

Nice, Really nice. I have not had a vacation in 5 years. Living paycheck to paycheck and this is how they spend my money…. DO NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN PLEASE!!!!!
An invoice from the St Regis resort in Monarch Beach, south of Los Angeles, shows that AIG spent $139,375 on rooms, $147,301 on “banquets”, $23,380 on spa treatments and $6,939 on golf at an eight-day company event which began on September 22.
A week earlier, on September 17, the Federal Reserve had to extend a huge credit line to AIG to keep the troubled firm from collapsing due to vast liabilities on risky financial insurance policies.
“Average Americans are suffering economically,” said Henry Waxman, chairman of the House oversight committee. “They are losing their jobs, their homes and their health insurance. Yet less than one week after the taxpayers rescued AIG, company executives could be found wining and dining at one of the most exclusive resorts in the nation.”
Set in 172 acres of grounds on a bluff overlooking the Pacific ocean, the St Regis resort describes itself as “Tuscan inspired”. Rates for its 325 rooms are typically upwards of $500 a night and the travel guide Fodor’s gives the place a rave review, saying: “Exclusivity and indulgence carry the day here; you can even have someone unpack for you.”

As for Ayers and Obama, the two men lived three blocks away from each other in Chicago and served on a local charity board during the mid-to-late 1990s. When Obama first ran for Illinois state senator in 1995, he attended a campaign event at Ayers’ house. In 2001 Ayers donated $200 to Obama’s state senator re-election campaign. By the time the two men met, Ayers’ days as a Weatherman had long passed. The wind had blown him another way.

Oh, please give the birth certificate thing the rest…here is from Factcheck.org
Born in the U.S.A.
August 21, 2008
Updated: August 26, 2008
The truth about Obama’s birth certificate.
Summary
In June, the Obama campaign released a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate to quell speculative charges that he might not be a natural-born citizen. But the image prompted more blog-based skepticism about the document’s authenticity. And recently, author Jerome Corsi, whose book attacks Obama, said in a TV interview that the birth certificate the campaign has is “fake.”
We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as “supporting documents” to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.

And the Ayers thing is equally absurd. The campaign for State Senate was not started in the Ayer’s home…a local rabbi named Cohen actually held the first “coffee” for Obama. Obama didn’t set up the location for the Ayers “meet-and-greet”. He didn’t know about Ayers past at that point…why should he? It’s doubtful if anyone beyond a few specialists in the ’60′s radical movements would have remembered his name. He wasn’t exactly “Jerry Rubin”, or “Eldredge Cleaver”. His wife was a bit better known…but Ayers?
Obama didn’t have any say on inviting Ayers onto the Annenberg board. And there were many others on that board who would hardly be called radical…including bankers, investors, etc.
What the Republican operatives are doing here is to try and bring down the country in divisiveness and ignore the great economic crisis looming on our doorstep that will require unity by our people to solve. The debate should be about the economy and what can get us out of the shadow of this crisis and not repeat or exacerbate the factors that led to it. It should not be about smears.

Posted by: cinnamonape | October 7, 2008, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm

This is to the Republican middle class and poor . The power brokers of your party are setting up McCain to fall. The power brokers of your party know that McCain is not going to be able to fix the problems that our nation is going through. So they advise him and Palin to throw the kitchen sink at Obama to make sure that more people vote for Obama and to guarantee McCain to lose the election. Why are your power brokers doing this? It’s because they know that McCain or Obama can not fix the problems that face our nation. So a victory for Obama will develop later into a victory for the Republicans. The Republican Party will come back with their CRUSADER NEWT THE INVINCIBLE to save the day and then the Republican power brokers can finally rule forever and we will finally lose all of our liberties as free men. Then the Republican power brokers will finally get their fascist state set in place. The NEW WORLD ORDER is not coming it is here. I believe that very few Republicans are bad people but their power brokers are a evil. And their agenda is just as fanatic as the rest of nut cakes that want to rule the world. Wake up America before it’s to late.

I am willing to bet anyone at 5 to 1 odds that Palin has never met Ayers. Yet she hates him. How sick is that?
Ayers joined a group in the 70′s dedicated to ending the Vietnam War. In this he was one of thousands. Someone in the group he was with claimed responsibility of the bombings. No one has ever said it was Ayers and he has never been convicted of anthing.
In later life, Ayers dedicated himself to education and became a professor at a major university. During his spare time, he devoted countless hours to civic duties to better his community.
Given this background, I find it offensive and repulsive that the McCain campaign tries to slander him for political purposes. I also find it repulsive that good Republicans do not speak out againist this injustice.
Personally, if I knew Ayers now, I would be proud to call him a friend. Obama, if Ayers is a friend, can be proud of him. I hope Obama takes McCain to task for this stupid tactic.

Sarah Palin palling around with secessionists:
In 1994, Palin attended AIP’s (Alaskan Independence Party) annual convention.
The founder of AIP has said this:
“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government.”
Sarah Palin was not six years old when this was said. She was an adult who should have known better. Her husband was in the AIP.
The McCain campaign has confirmed she visited the group’s 2000 convention, and she addressed its convention this year, as an incumbent governor whose oath of office includes upholding the Constitution of the United States.
The founder of the AIP was a man named Joe Vogler. He said this in a 1991 interview, only a few years before Palin attended its convention: “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government.”
Vogler has also said: “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.”
McCain apologists will argue that Sarah Palin was not a member of this group. But Obama wasn’t a member of any Ayers anti-American group, either. And again, Palin repeatedly courted the AIP, and her husband was a member for years.

What about Ayers picture of him standing on the American Flag a few years ago, and his comments after 9/11? If he’s not a radical, explain how the information in his book is not being radical? He has read the same radical books on socialism as Obama. Obama has been indoctrinated with Ayers political views, to be used as an agent of socialist views and change, the legal way, by not using force through terrorism(weatherunderground). If you can’t understand that, then you are either blinded by liberal hate of others who don’t see things you’re way, or you are an Obama paid blogger. His polices do not make sense in a Capitalist society. If you can’t understand that, then you really want to have a socialist society, which will never happen in the United States of America.

It must be that the GOP machine picked Palinocchio (as she is called in her own state) because she is more than willing to try and slime anybody that gets in her way.
We’re supposed to forget that her husband was a member of a terrorist organization (AIP) and that she attended the meetings along with him.
We’re to forget that she abused her authority to get back at her brother-in-law and along with that fired the state official that wouldn’t go along with her.
Forget that she must have been too busy to care for and nurture her daughter who is ONLY 17 and in great need now. Is that what they teach at her church?
And now, who is running her home state? It must not need her very much because she’s down her perfecting her slime tactics. If the worst disaster scenario was to happen and she was in the WH, that’s probably what you will her from all the time.
Mavericks will:
not build consensus
not take advice
go off on their own no matter what
liquidate any opposition
blame others when things go wrong
bait and switch with their intentions
say that the ends justify the means
That sounds vaguely familiar with the last eight years. GOD forbid that the GOP should win with these two. If things are bad now, we’ll be a third world country with them because we are already a debtor nation to the world.

Yes, Ayers is embraced and utilized in the Chicago area and universities around the country by all parties for his astounding work in education.

McCain apparently had a dizzy spell and almost collapsed, but was caught by one of his FBI Security details.
Investigations are on trying to force McCain to release his latest medical records.
McCain has either developed prostate cancer or his skin cancer is back.
If any of this is true McCain has less than 3 years to live. And don’t talk to me about his mother because she does not have cancer.
At what ages did McCain’s father and grandfather die?
Just think about it for a moment my friends.
McCain will die in office if elected and Sarah Humpty Dumpty Palin will be President.
God Save America.

I think some of the repubs are reading only a small part of Obama’s history and questioning his citizenship. Obama did have dual citizenship until he was 21. This is due to the British law (Kenya was a British colony at the time of Obama’s birth) that states, “British Nationality Act of 1948 (Part II, Section 5): Subject to the provisions of this section, a person born after the commencement of this Act shall be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent if his father is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at the time of the birth.” So, at birth Obama had dual citizenship because he was born in Hawaii and was a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies.
In 1963, Kenya became independent and enacted a law that stated “1. Every person who, having been born in Kenya, is on 11th December, 1963 a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or a British protected person shall become a citizen of Kenya on 12th December, 1963…
2. Every person who, having been born outside Kenya, is on 11th December, 1963 a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or a British protected person shall, if his father becomes, or would but for his death have become, a citizen of Kenya by virtue of subsection (1), become a citizen of Kenya on 12th December, 1963.”
However, Kenyan law does not recognize dual citizenship for adults. So, on a person’s 21st birthday, they lose Kenyan citizenship unless they formally renounce all non-Kenyan citizenships. Since Obama never did this, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired.
For those of you who like to harp on Obama’s citizenship, there were questions raised about McCain’s eligibility because he was born on a military base in Panama. There were people who filed lawsuits questioning McCain’s eligibility. This is something that happens in every election, but because of Obama’s ‘non-traditional’ family it is the only one that keeps being raised.
Do you really think that with two strong candidates vying for the Dem nominiation, the Dem party would allow Obama to proceed if there was a question about his eligibility?

All these guilt-by-association gimmicks were thrown at Obama during the long slog of the Democratic Primary.
All of these new “scary issues” that Sarah Palin is using to whip up her audiences are OLD NEWS, stuff that Obama answered to months ago. Investigated, and found to be a bunch of bologna.
Did Sarah Palin ever read a newspaper or watch the news during the primaries???
I know McCain watched the news: He came out and said he thought the Ayers, Wright, Rezco low-road attacks against Barack Obama was regretable. Gee, John, what could have changed your mind?

I’m starting to feel sorry for my Republican friends who are increasingly embarrassed by the McCain/Palin campaign.
The McCain/Palin campaign airs negative ads, and Palin turns into an attack chihuahua, yapping “Ayers, Ayers, Ayers” and guess what? Obama’s lead in the polls widens.
So the McCain/Palin campaign airs more negative ads, and Palin once again yaps “Ayers, Ayers, Ayers” — and Obama’s lead in the polls widens some more.
Whether you agree with their politics or not, these folks are just too dumb for the offices they aspire to.

WHY MCCAIN HAS NOT BEEN SEEN IN PUBLIC IN THE LAST 2 DAYS.

McCain/Palin have taken smear tactics to a new low. Not only is it unbecoming, it is untruthful. How can a country be a “shining light” when the aforementioned presidential and vice presidential candidates have stooped to such dark levels? Promoting fear has been an all too familiar Republican tactic over the last 8 yrs. This is despicable. They should be ashamed of themselves.

to Blakec,
Stop spreading hateful lies.
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

The Senate voted overwhelmingly today for a Federal law to prohibit bombings, arson and blockades at abortion clinics, and shootings and threats of violence against doctors and nurses who perform abortions.
The vote was 69 to 30. Twenty-eight senators who voted against Federal financing of abortions six weeks ago supported the measure, seeing it as a law-and-order matter rather than as an abortion issue.

There are only 3 or 4 people looking into Blobama’s backgroung. Hell, he won’t even release his grades at Columbia or Harvard, much less his birth certificate. Guess you’re not worried about that stuff either. The fact is YOU WHINING LIBERAL MARXIST, he hasn’t provided a substantial answer to WHAT HE WOULD DO ABOUT THE ECONOMY. HEY ALGWRITER,
Wow!! Thanks for telling me about Todd Palin wanting succession from the US for Alaska. If Hussein Obama is elected, I know that I and about 20+million of my fellow Texans PLUS the Louisianans and Oklahomans will DEFINITELY WANT TO SUCCEED FROM THE US. Then we can charge the rest of you whining socialists for all the oil and gas we pump and refine. It will be a big payday for us since none of you want to drill in your backyard. Hopefully Alaska will join us in our newly formed country TEXORLEALASKA. Please stay away because we will send all the freeloaders back to the US where they belong. Talk about change. All you socialist whiners will be rid of us ignorant southern rednecks as well as all your “carbon footprint” problems. Posted by: Mack | October 7, 2008, 1:42 pm 1:42 pm

Barack Obama knew Ayres and vice versa.
Ayres is an unrepentant terrorist who had to operate outside the system for years- then he “chose” Obama so he could manipulate the system- from the INSIDE.
Obama endorsed a radical book written by Ayres- which promulgated given “lighter” sentences in the juvenile justice system- so that poor, young Black kids wouldn’t get slapped by the system when they raped, murdered, sold drugs, stole- whatever.
Ayres and Dorhn lived in Barry’s Hyde park neighborhood and everyone knew who they were- and they were welcomed.
Barry’s kickoff for the Senate was in Ayres’ living room.
Barry is now busy trying to throw Ayres under the bus.
Good luck- Chicago-Annenberg and all his meetings with Ayres to raise millions of dollars for radical causes have been brought to light.
He and his angry wife Michelle (America is a downright mean country)- sat in the Black Theology- white hating, America hating church of Rev GD America Wright – for over 20 years.
His “mentor” was thrown under the bus.
It’s the company you keep, Barry.
Obama traveled to Kenya on the American taxpayer’s tab- to help with his cousin’s Jihad- Google Obama-Kenya-Odinga.
The resultant jihad ended in mass riots, rapes and death.
Why does Barry always get a pass from the mainstream media on all these traitorous leftist MARXIST activities?
Question: Do you know the difference between Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden?
Answer: Nothing Really. The BOTH know people who bombed the Pentagon.
Obama- Inexperienced. Dangerous. Naive- and manipulated by terrorists.Arrogant-Elitist- MARXIST-SOCIALIST
Will bring our country down FROM the INSIDE.
Why do you think all these countries- who hate America so MUCH- are pushing for Barry to become president? So America becomes weak- and collapses. That’s the plan. And they are well underway.

McCain-palin tactics and temperament.
.
Dear concerned citizens of America and Mass Media of the U.S.A.
As a concerned registered independent voter, forensic psychiatrist, disabled American I made my decision to vote after taking into consideration following joint tickets attributes and characteristics.
1. Has the ticket shown adequate calmness, coolness, and connectedness’s under pressure to lead our nation [Presidential Temperament]?
2. Has the ticket shown sustained sound “Judgment and Caliber”?
3. Has the ticket shown adequate understanding of depth and degree to address the crucial challenges in their their purpose, policies, and positions [ Honesty, integrity and sincerity]?
4. Has the ticket sufficient “understanding and knowledge” of inside Washington workings [Experience]“?
5. Has the ticket reservoir resilience, wisdom, and vigor to address the present and future f our beloved “Great-grand Nation”?
6. Has the ticket enough joint foreign policy experience and exposure based on ” Values, Virtues, Vastness, and ” [American moral soul]“?
7. Has their campaign talk, slogans, ads, plans, and programs based on facts and are they free of fear, fiction, frivolous labels, unfair attacks, negativity, and impulsively? [No "imminent danger to national
security and safety"].
8. Has the ticket genuinely kept on message of country first and politics last and avoided copying [Message change"]?
9.Has the ticket message stayed away from Culture divide and war[ Disaster prevention ]?
10. Has the ticket resisted being surrounded, supported and surrogate’s by divisiveness, distortion’s, and destructive characters, [ Real patriotism VS shiftiness and shameless parrot-ism]?
11. Has the ticket thoughtful, real non-partisan, & non-impulsive plans to address our current economic crisis or political tactics and temperamental statements.
I have personally and professionally concluded that OBAMA-BIDEN ticket will lift and inspire our greatgrand nation back to its greatness within and restore our global standing with the use of maximum, firm
international diplomacy and minimal force if and when indicated {” Peace thru Strenght “}.
12. The era of responsibility has to replace irresponsibility and unaccountability will change to accountability and transparency. The Wall Street greed will change to Main Street need.
13. Temperamental and Angry McCain is out to play and create a card mistrust and distress around Obama with the Vail of claim that he will bring bipartisanship in Washington DC. He is destroying him claim every by painting Obama naive. It is tragic, sad, and unfortunate that so called Maverick McCain has already generated a disdain and demeaning face off in the debates and bailout suggestion. Obama is real Presidential and he maintained a smile during the debate and while McCain had a constant grin and disdain towards Obama.
Yours sincerely,
COL. A.M.Khajawall [Ret] MD.

I am simply not surprised anymore with what the McCain campaign comes up with. Soon they are going to start claiming that Obama is the antichrist. Throughout this campaign, they have managed to stoke fears that Obama is muslim (like simply being one is a dangerous thing, but the fact that Obama is actually christian is not known to many people), link him to all sorts of associations with crooks, sometimes simply on the basis of Obama being in the same room with a person, lie about his tax plan for the middle class, continue to charge that the media is biased (to innoculate their lies). Now they claim Barack Obama is associated with the Weathermen (Obama was 8 when they were active!). There is a difference between an casual acquaintance, and an undeniable influence on someone’s decisions. Yes, indeed Obama has gone into attack mode as well, but his attacks are based on far more relevant associations like McCain’s deep links with Lobbyists (the McCain campaign is both financially supported and staffed by lobbies, and he has demonstrated his culpability to corrupt commercial influence thru the Keating 5 scandal), McCain’s dangerous healthcare plan (taxing your healthcare benefits to give you healthcare tax credits), his proposal to open up social security for investment decisions (good idea, but also adding considerable risk to people’s security net), and McCain’s behavior (claiming that the fundamentals of our economy is strong, and then messing up the bailout talks for political gain, his impulsive my-way-or-the-highway approach to foreign policy, his irresponsible selection of Palin), his tactics of dividing the electorate on choices that do not matter to the challenges we are facing today (guns, abortion, gay marriage etc), and his unethical attempts at voter caging across swing states to disqualify democrat votes. So while both campaigns have gone negative, we need to take things into perspective, and understand the difference between mud slinging versus relevant criticism, they are very different things. I have given up trying to convince the hard-core right wingers, and racially prejudiced people, because these are a group that have been completely swayed by their own preconceived notions about a candidate they have not even tried to read up about. This group has been hugely affected by John McCain’s systematic strike at the media establishment (so they can say anything they want), to believe only what John McCain is saying, and have been programmed to allow their prejudice to claim that Obama is not experienced enough. TRUTH IS, YOU CAN HIRE EXPERIENCE AND YOU CAN BUY KNOWLEDGE, BUT WHAT YOU CANNOT CHANGE IS A PERSON’S JUDGMENT AND THE FUNDAMENTAL MORAL COMPASS THAT GUIDES IT. I am hoping that the Independent voters and undecided voters, who tend to be more deliberate, and inquisitive in their considerations would be able to make these critical distinctions.

There’ve been been conservatives muttering on these boards for months about Ayers. All that time we’ve it’s been clear that there’s been nothing in it. He was just a feature of the political landscape and Obama wasn’t any closer to him than most other politicians in Illinois.
And all that time McCain said nothing about it. Obviously because there was nothing in it and mentioning it would just make him look cranky.
Now he can feel the election getting further out of reach and he feels he has nothing to lose by letting Palin loose on the issue.

Posted by: Klippa | October 7, 2008, 2:06 pm 2:06 pm

Speaking as an independent here, if the economy wasn’t falling apart around us, I may actually care about this type of thing. Well, not this specifically, because it seems clear that while he did work with Ayers on a couple of charities, that isn’t exactly a horrible thing to do. Charities are good right? Even for people that did bad things in the past like Ayers. I think more hay could be made of the Rev. Wright association, but I digress.
Considering our current turmoil, I think these attacks are pretty repugnant and seem to smell of the republican playbook that swept McCain out of the Republican primaries in 2000. If McCain could show leadership on the Economy when Obama has been more laid back, then he would be making more headway. As it is, he’s made several missteps and miscalculations along the way.
Also, they would be scoring more points with Independents if they would stop these violent threats about Obama shouted out during their campaign rallies. They know where the line is. Don’t let people jump over it with both feet.

McCain is making a call for all bigots and hate-mongers to join his parade of slime. He is desperate and it is a personal call to jihad for his campaign. And they are coming out of the woodwork, every right wing nut in the country is answering the call and coming up with the smear and fear garbage that McCain is begging them for. McCain is not a leader. He displays the same yellow stripe down his back that he displayed when he ratted on his Keating Five comrades to escape prosecution. Some crazy person even yelled Kill Him! at a Florida rally where Palin called Obama a terrorist- shades of the Nazi hate rallies. McCain is bringing great shame on the electoral process and his erratic behavior makes it clear he is not qualified to be president any more than his junkyard dog running mate.

I for one am glad Sarah has the guts to raise these questions because the mainstream media sure hasn’t. and I did by the way watch the special on Obama and his radical ties Very scary. Obama was Chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) from 1995 to the end of 2001, and distributed more than $110 Million dollars to improve Chicago Public Schools. Bill Ayers submitted the CAC grant proposal, and also sat as an ex officio member of the CAC board.
A large portion of the more than $110 Million went to ethnic and social programs like these:
$632,662 to Small Schools Workshop, started by Mike Klonsky and William Ayers, created to push their school reform agenda.
$413,000 to the South Shore African Village Collaborative for their “Celebrate African-American Holiday of Juneteenth” (celebrating the Emancipation Proclamation). Some African-Americans celebrate Juneteenth instead of the Fourth of July.
and many more…
Turned down to receive a grant:
The Chicago Algebra Project: goal to increase student achievement
The District 5 Math Initiative: goal to aid Hispanic students in the process of learning English, to further learn math and science.
and many more programs designed to advance student fundamentals.
In a final review of the program, it was concluded that “no difference was found between the schools that participated in the CAC, and schools of a similar demographic in Chicago.”
Bottom line, $110 Million dollars, ZERO results is the extent of Obama’s Executive experience because he chose to line the pockets of friends like Ayers.
The significant part of the Ayers relationship isn’t about what he did in the 60′s, it’s about what Ayers is promoting as social reform in our schools TODAY, which is socialist indoctrination. Ayers is very fond of Hugo Chavez’s principles (Ayers daughter works as part of an advisory group to Hugo Chavez)
Follow the dots from Alinsky, where Obama learned his Community Organization skills, to Acorn who Obama taught how to exploit these strong arm tactics, and started the downward spiral of our current economic crisis, and then to Ayers, who Obama helped fund pet projects – socialism at its best.
With Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Reid leading the country, we will become like Venezuela.

How in the world can we allow this woman to incite people to a frenzy of hatred while running for vice president of our country. What country are we in? I just cannot believe what is happening. I am so angry and so frightened by what is taking place. I am afraid for our country and I am afraid for the Obama family. The McCain/Palin hatred is damaging our country. They need to go away. We need someone to speak to the best in us not try and ignite the worst.

Let’s Play One of the Classics:
That’s why I say, I like ever American I’m speaking with were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the tax payers looking to bailout.
But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Helping the — Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas.
And trade we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. But 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. ALl those things under the umbrella of job creation.
This bailout is a part of that.

Posted by: serious voter | October 7, 2008, 2:35 pm 2:35 pm

I saw the CNN report on the Board Obama chaired disbursing funds from the Annenberg grant. Some are claiming that funds went to radical schools. CNN mentioned The Peace School and a school supporting African-American studies. Niether of these is radical.
The Peace School had instruction on the role of the United Nations – not a radical idea. The idea of collective security gained momentum after World War I and was encouraged by our President Wilson. Both Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt support replacing it with the United Nations! Whatever problems the UN has, its goal of employing collective security to prevent future WORLD WARS is a noble one. Also, the UN has many other valuable programs that address world problems of hunger, disease, and refugees to mention a few. Go to their website to see all of their programs.
African-American studies are an important component of understanding who we are as a country. Teachers of world and US history should incorporate studies of Africa and the African-American experience in their curriculum. Good scholarship has been emerging recently in this area. Teachers should promote critical-thinking in their students and the ability to identify bias whether it be in studies involving African-Americans, White America, women’s studies, medieval history – or any area of historical interpretation.

The assets of the United States (military, buildings, everything) are valued at 14 trillion dollars. Today, retirement accounts lost nearly 2 trillion and that is why John McCain and his candidate for VP are trashing, smearing and lying. Smears are not what voters are going to base their choice on. Odinga, Rashid Khalidi, Farrakhan, Father Flager, Rev. Wright, Rezko, and the list goes on! It’s really unique how Obama, Ayers, and Farrakhan live within one mile of each other. Why did Obama get involved with a convicted criminal Rezko, just to purchase a house on the same street as Ayers and Farrakhan! Didn’t Farrakhan speak at Obama’s church with Rev. Wright standing behind him, speaking the same hate speech Rev. Wright does. And if Obama has ties to Ayers(which i do believe because I’m not blind like others), Ayers visited Venezuela(a socialist country)! But let me guess, he was just on vacation, LOL!

Okay, I just looked at the video. It’s the same old smear with a cheap library soundtrack. He knew Ayers. So what? I’m a Republican, I’m voting for Obama in part because the guy at the top of our ticket has some obvious mental impairment due to his age, and one of the consequences of that was his choice of a political neophyte for a running mate, and who has demonstrated that she is completely out of touch with her own limitations. Her conduct since failing to fall flat on her face in the debate has been bizarre and almost manic, to a point where I don’t see how any Republican can vote for this ticket in good conscience, regardless of the issues. Those who hate Obama because he’s black, or because he’s liberal, or because he doesn’t wear a flag in his lapel, aren’t going to vote for him anyway, and those are the only people who are going to take the so-called ‘shocking’ video seriously.

Look it’s not hard to understand. Ayers is a radical socialist and terrorist. Obama is friends with the guy. Obama only denounced him when Obama started getting flak during the Democratic primaries. His denouncement is all for show. Obama really has no problem with Ayers at all, just like Obama only kicked Jeremiah Wright to the curb when he started getting flak for being associated with him.
Ayers founded the Annenberg Challenge and picked Obama to run it. Ayers gave Obama between 50-100 million dollars to use as he saw fit as part of the
is program to reform (ie. radicalize) the Chicago public schools. Now, Ayers would not have picked Obama to run the program and given him that whopping amount of money if Obama did not have the same political ideology as Ayers.
Barack Obama is every bit as radical as Bill Ayers is. And that’s the real reason why this Ayers and Obama story is such a big deal. There has never been a presidential candidate so inexperienced and so radical as Barack Obama.

But I guess if one has an evil heart, if one is unqualified to be VP and president, and whose campaign is in the toilet; then I guess it’s the only thing one can try to dig up.
If they want to focus their attention and energy in this direction, if they rather “turn the page on the economy,” then I hope ALL of the American people will completely reject them.

Obama, I thank you for pointing out a Palin family connection to an independent group in Alaska. It proves that Todd and Sarah Palin want of separation from the business as usual crowd and the corruption in Washington, D.C. Obama supporters forget their American history of why the American colonies wanted to separate from the mother country England. The Palin family is as American as our ancestors are. The Palin family does not consort with terrorists like has been shown about Obama.
Sarah Palin will bring more change into Washington, D.C. than Obama.
Obama is showing association with Anti-Americans wanting to destroy American values. Because global financial markets are woven in a complex web, turmoil in one sector is felt elsewhere. Some wounded financial companies are desperately selling healthy stocks to raise capital to stay afloat, and this heavy selling pressure is forcing down the price of these stocks. The same is being done by leveraged hedge funds that have been hurt by their investments in financial stocks – they need to raise money for shareholders who want out of their fund, so they are selling good stocks to get cash.
The New York Times had an interesting op-ed article on this subject on Sept. 14 titled “Too Few Regulations? No, Just Ineffective Ones” by Tyler Cowen, an economics professor at George Mason University.
One of Cowen’s best observations was “financial regulation has produced a lot of laws and a lot of spending but poor priorities and little success in using the most important laws to head off a disaster. The pattern is reminiscent of how legislators often seem more interested in building new highways – which are highly visible projects – than in maintaining old ones.”
He also pointed out that 70,000 new pages of federal regulations in a single year is not an uncommon feat, and that the inflation-adjusted spending by the federal agencies regulating banking and finance has gone up more than 40 percent since 1990.
New rules are what Washington knows how to do best – it’s how legislators measure their worth. And while there are times when new regulations make sense, this isn’t one of those times.
Hearing the solutions offered by Obama and Biden today reduces my confidence in the Democrats. The Democrats do not have the knowledge or the imagination to take on the biggest economic crisis in America since the 1930s.
Under Herbert Hoover, taxes were raised, trade protectionism increased, and the money supply contracted. Sound familiar? Obama’s tax hikes and trade protectionism are Hooveresque and a reminder of the great depression of 1929.

The Republican senator’s lawyer in the case, John Dowd, told reporters in a conference call Monday that McCain had been the victim of “a political smear job” by Senate Democrats. When a reporter noted that McCain himself has spoken contritely about his role, Dowd responded, “I’m his lawyer and I have a different view of it.”
Dowd, in his conference call, wouldn’t tolerate a hint of an apology for McCain’s actions. “John was the only senator who threw Charlie Keating out of his office,” he said, reminding reporters of a well-publicized confrontation. Keating had called McCain a wimp for failing to do more to influence financial regulators on his behalf.

Using the republican in Illinois as a reason that Obama shouldn’t be criticized for his association with Ayers is silly. The republicans in Illinios are as corrupt as the democrats. That doesn’t make Obama’s decades long association with Ayers any more acceptable.
Read this piece about the connection and tell me you’re not worried about Obama’s radical left ties:
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NjY4YzdhMDBkZGQ3ZmU2MTUzYjdkMzc5ZjUzYmViZWM=
An excerpt,
“Obama and Ayers shared all kinds of views. That is why they worked so well together at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), funding the likes of Mike Klonsky, a fellow SDS and Maoist associate of Ayers who, as Steve Diamond relates, used to host a “social justice” blog on Obama’s campaign website. With Obama heading the board of directors that approved expenditures and Ayers, the mastermind running its operational arm, hundreds of thousands of CAC dollars poured into the “Small Schools Workshop” — a project begun by Ayers and run by Klonsky to spur the revolution from the ground up.
Precisely because they shared the same views, Obama and Ayers also worked comfortably together on the board of the Woods Fund. There, they doled out thousands of dollars to Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity Church to promote its Marxist “black liberation theology.” Moreover, they underwrote the Arab American Action Network (AAAN) founded by Rashid Khalidi, a top apologist for Yasser Arafat. As National Review’s David Pryce-Jones notes, Khalidi once directed WAFA, the terrorist PLO’s news agency. Then, like Ayers, he repackaged himself as an academic who rails at American policy. The AAAN, which supports driver’s licenses and public welfare benefits for illegal aliens, holds that the establishment of Israel was an illegitimate “catastrophe.””

This election will be decided, based NOT on econmics, but on morality. Obama and Biden are truly brilliant, ultra-leftist leaders…and they whole heartedly endorse Row vs. Wade, which has resulted in the murder, eradication and extinction of over 42,000,000 babies. Keep in mind that Hitler killed 11 million people, Stalin killed 20 million, Mao killed 50 million..and is America close behind Mao Tse Tung’s murder record. Again, the Barak Hussain Obama/Joe Biden team….endorses this continual murder. They also endorse the “gay agenda” completely, and term those who oppose them as “hate mongers” and unprincipled. In truth, their leftist philosophies are socialistic, and are in complete opposition to beliefs espoused by our American Founding Fathers. This election is much more than economics, banter, personalities and “media hype”..it will be eventually decided based on morality, and by those desiring to “honor God and Country.” All of the leftist support of the “Hollywood elite” wont’ make any differnce on election day. Over 60 million Americans, representing a myriad of denominations name the name of Christ…and they..THEY..will decide who will win this election..and they will do it based on Biblical principles.

More McCain terrorist support:
From an Oct 07 2008 article by the Associated Press
McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. Council for World Freedom, which has aided rebels trying to overthrow the government of Nicragua and landing it in the middle of the Iran-Contra affair. The group was also in legal trouble with the IRS, which revoked the charitable organization’s tax exemption. The council was created by retired Army Maj. Gen. John Singlaub was the U.S. chapter of the World Anti-Communist League, an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.
In 1983 and 1984 for example, columnist Jack Anderson linked the league’s Latin American affiliate to death squad political assassinations.
The Latin American affiliate was kicked out of the league. At the time, Singlaub told the columnist the Latin American affiliate had “knowingly promoted pro-Nazi groups” and was “virulently anti-Semitic”. “That was putting it mildly,” Anderson wrote in a Sept. 11, 1984, column on alleged death squad murders, an article that appeared two months before the U.S. election day.
In McCain’s case, he was a House member and a board member of Singlaub’s council he voted for military assistance to the Nicaraguan Contras, a CIA-organized guerrilla force. In 1984, Congress cut off military assistance to the rebels.
The White House-directed network’s covert arms shipments, financed in part by the Reagan administration’s secret arms sales to Iran, exploded into the Iran-Contra affair in November, 1986. The scandal proved to be the undoing of Singlaub’s council.
McCain has said he resigned from the council in 1984 and asked in 1986 to have his name removed from the group’s letterhead; “I didn’t know whether (the group’s activity) was legal or illegal, but I didn’t think I wanted to be associated with them,” McCain said in a 1986 newspaper interview.
“That’s a surprise to me,” Singlaub said. “This is the first time I’ve ever heard that. There may have been someone in his office communicating with our office.”
McCain’s office produced two letters from 1984 and 1986 to back his account. The dates on the resignation letters in 1984 and May 1986 coincided with McCain election campaigns and increasingly critical public scrutiny of the World Anti-Communist League.

Here is McCain on when to use Armed Forces – August 1, 2000:
LEHRER: .. when should the United States deploy its armed forces abroad, and what criteria should be used? Are you comfortable with the decision-making that would – that a Bush-Cheney- Powell triumvirate would make?
McCAIN: Yes. I’m extremely comfortable and basically it’s when American interests and values are threatened. And sometimes when our values are threatened, over time our interests can be threatened. I can’t make an argument to you that Kosovo posed an immediate threat to our national interest. But I can argue that it offended our values to a degree that if allowed to go unchecked, then unrestrained, once Milosevic started to do his ethnic cleansing, then sooner or later our interest would be threaten because that same kind of scenario would transpire in other places in Europe.

BTW – talking about McCaon “vs” muslim extremist terrorists, there’s a lot more.
Such as:
Americans of Albanian heritage collected a million dollars in one evening for the presidential campaign of Republican Senator John McCain, said the Albanian American Civic League yesterday, the lobby group headed by former Congressman Joe DioGuardi. A reception for McCain was held January 22 at the Saint Regis Hotel in Manhatten, and the senator, who is now leading in the runoff for the Republican party candidacy in the November elections, cut his campaign in Florida by one day to attend this gathering.
“Even in 1998 when we had problems with Milosevic, McCain did everything that we asked of him to the benefit of the Albanian people, including arming the KLA”, announced DioGuardi. “We are American Albanians and we need a leader who will strengthen this country… We must support John McCain because he did everything we asked of him for Kosovo, from supporting the Kosovo Liberation Army to supporting the independence of Kosovo. Two years ago he spoke in Brussels and said that independence is the only solution”, concluded this former congressman who has been fighting for the independence of Kosovo and Metohija for more than twenty years.
And just who are the KLA that McCain is so fond of-
“The KLA – The Kosovo Liberation Army – is an Islamic terrorist group responsible for beheadings, torture, rape, burning down churches filled with Christians, and other atrocities. To this day, the KLA insurgency continues the systematic persecution and genocidal cleansing of Serbian civilians residing in Albania. The former leaders, enjoying life as high paid politicians in the Albania Government, are unapologetic for the crimes committed.”

As the article says:

An tenuous connection with a man who in his youth opposed the war..
Compared to McCain who sat on the board of the US council for world fredom and was activly involved in funding terrorists (including Bin Laden) and involved in the iran-contra affair, while a senator fought to funnel money and arms to the KLA, an islamic terrorist organization that has praised McCain for his help and support, and directly involved with the largest S&L meltdown in history.

We’re not all “Chicagoans”. You wouldn’t find him ‘accepted’ around here. We just got rid of a guy who’s Ayers’ dumber political-cousin – Ward Churchill, and he never bombed anyone. To think that on the very day this nation was attacked on Sept 11, 2001, William Ayers had a feature spread in which he regrets not having done enough.
I ask again, where are Obama’s “normal” friends and associates? So far all we’ve seen are some radicals, some crooks, and an Iraqi billionaire….a hate-filled preacher and Hyde-neighborhood leftists.

McCain played it cool during the debate. He knew better than not to. There’s new evidence that he participated in terrorist activity. He better behave himself or the lid will be blown off his mess.

Is Palin still around? Can you IMAGINE that shrill voice leading this country should go forbid something happen to McCain? Get thee back to the hinterlands thou pitbull with lipstick. Decent society can do a lot better. Besides, I think another of your brood is also now pregnant.

Just in:
Gov Sara McCarthy accuses all faculty of the University of Chicago of palling around with terrorists. As you know, Bill Ayers is a professor and shares board meetings there which sensible Palonic deduction means they are all in cahoots with terrorists. To be safe, it should be assumed that all students that took Bill Ayers’ classes are also terrorists. For that matter, since Bernadine Dorhn is a member of the ABA and numerous boards there, all lawyers in this country are palling around with terrorists too. They are members of the ACLU but we all know they are terrorists to begin with.
The Palin inquisition suggests only getting info on who is associating with terrorists from her or a joe sixpack from Alaska since they are the only pure Americans. Please don’t read about the circumstances or people involved in her accusation or she will relegate you to the unAmerican-doesn’t have the “same views as us” group.

I think the best description of Palin I’ve read was by Matt Taibbi in the October issue of Rolling Stone:
“Sarah Palin is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the modern United States. As a representative of our political system, she’s a new low in reptilian villainy, the ultimate cynical masterwork of puppeteers like Karl Rove. But more than that, she is a horrifying symbol of how little we ask for in return for the total surrender of our political power. Not only is Sarah Palin a fraud, she’s the tawdriest, most half-assed fraud imaginable, 20 floors below the lowest common denominator, a character too dumb even for daytime TV — and this country is going to eat her up, cheering her every step of the way. All because most Americans no longer have the energy to do anything but lie back and allow ourselves to be jacked off by the calculating thieves who run this grasping consumer paradise we call a nation.”

priceless!

I would like to hear Sara Palin’s views and ideas for the economy, foreign policy and energy (supposedly her specialty). How about a little substance from someone who could be our leader at a very serious time for our nation. If you are going to tell us what you are against, please tell us what you are for as well, and then defend your position. McCain/Palin is too big of a risk for us to take at a time like this.

Sarah Palin is quite dangerous enticing crowds with treason, kill him, hate, racial prejudice, etc. Someone in crowd yelled about Obama “kill him.” No one, Republican or Democrat should tolerate these two encouraging “kill him.”
William Ayers is nothing!!
John McCain has his own terrorist friend!! Gordon Liddy convicted felon in Watergate who gave McCain a political fundraiser event at his house which is shown below. Liddy plotted to kill multiple people!! McCain supported Liddy’s illegal actions in Watergate in writing!! McCain Campign supported McCain’s stance!! McCain spoke on Liddy’s radio talk show in May!! Video shows use of words by both “old friends.” Liddy is a real and was convicted. Came out in 2000 Republican campaign. Bush brought out!! Damaged McCain’s reputation!!
Ayers was never convicted for Weather Underground involvement. He worked hard to overcome his past and has lead a law abiding life since then. Ayers is a respected distinguished professor at University of Illinois. He is well known for his educational reform accomplishments. Those Chicago groups mentioned were represented with both multiple Republicans and Democrats serving on Board! One Republican actually came forward defending Ayers! Fact is all those serving from each party would be considered terrorists by Palin and McCain stance. University of South Caroline has had Ayers speak 6 times over 13 years. Present Republican governor who serves on university board would then be considered a terrorist by John McCain and Sarah Palin too!!
Here is a rundown regarding Liddy- we all know of Watergate and impeachment of Nixon:
Liddy served four and a half years in prison in connection with his conviction for his role in the Watergate break-in and the break-in at the office of the psychiatrist of Daniel Ellsberg, the military analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers. Liddy has acknowledged preparing to kill someone during the Ellsberg break-in “if necessary”; plotting to murder journalist Jack Anderson; plotting with a “gangland figure” to murder Howard Hunt to stop him from cooperating with investigators; plotting to firebomb the Brookings Institution; and plotting to kidnap “leftist guerillas” at the 1972 Republican National Convention — a plan he outlined to the Nixon administration using terminology borrowed from the Nazis. (The murder, firebombing, and kidnapping plots were never carried out; the break-ins were.) During the 1990s, Liddy reportedly instructed his radio audience on multiple occasions on how to shoot Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents and also reportedly said he had named his shooting targets after Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Additionally, in 1998, Liddy reportedly held a fundraiser at his home for McCain. Liddy was reportedly scheduled to speak at another fundraiser for McCain in 2000. The Charlotte Observer reported on January 23, 2000, that McCain’s campaign vouched for Liddy’s “character”:
His [McCain's] campaign officials said Liddy’s character will appeal to many voters because he was following orders from President Nixon and kept silent afterward.
“His (Liddy’s) judgment might be in question, but I don’t think his character is,” said Ed Walker, the York County chairman of McCain’s campaign. “He was following orders just like any good soldier, and he didn’t tell on anybody. He felt like he was on a mission and kept his silence.”

Palin has no credibility, none. Who is she to question anyone’s “judgment”? Where is her judgment? Having a child at 44? Letting your teenage daughter and son run wild, one to get knock-up at 16, the other to become a hard partying hoodlum. Leaving your new born special needs son with god knows whom, while you are off seeking fame. The woman is beyond a joke. She has no business being on that ticket. She should be ashamed of herself. I am ashamed of her. If this woman were to become the VP it would be beyond a travesty. She is unable to string words together coherently. She is unaware of the issues. She flirts, winks, speaks like a rube, and generally acts like my 15 year old daughter. Can anyone, and I mean anyone imagine her at the G8 Summit? God help us……

To the Obama supporters, I just ask that you ponder the familiar phrase “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are”.
Why would Obama surround himself will all these “questionable” figures for the past 20 years? Character and judgment DO MATTER and if Obama was truthful at the beginning, people wouldn’t have to keep digging for real truth. Obama just has to keep changing what he meant as the people press for answers–has done this with Rev. Wright, he’s done this with Mr. Rezko, and also with his relationship with Mr. Ayers. Add some of his middle-eastern friends that he won’t even talk about like the guy who helped him get into Harvard or Mr. Auchi’s visit (i.e., meet & greet with Obama) and it doesn’t make you question anything????
Why won’t he provide simple proof that he wasn’t an Indonesian citizen and provide his vault copy of his birth certificate?
So just remember when Obama tells you he didn’t realize the people he surrounds himself in the WH have held communist, racist, and/or anti-American views, don’t complain if you’re not willing to research his background before you cast your vote in November.

Someone wise said that war is a failure of diplomacy. At the very least, an earnest attempt at communication and discourse should be made before resorting to war and the horrors of it.
Sarah Palin, what’s wrong with talking about our differences before having to die for them?

McCain is a corrupt senator that should had went to jail.He and Charles Keating and four other senator cause the Lincoln Savings & Loan Bank to collapsed, costing the taxpayers 3.4 billion. McCain have mafia ties because in 1995 McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph Joe Bananas Bonano, the head of the New York bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona.

I wonder why the media do not respond to Palin’s charges regarding Obama’s “without preconditions” statement. On page 22, in Woodward’s The War Within, he states, “Clinton suggested initiating talks with Iran without any preconditions. ‘We have to have some trusted adviser and start to talk to Iran,’ he said. ‘If you might fight somebody someday, you sure ought to talk to them.’” Henry Kissinger is widely reported to be of the same opinion. Of course, if Palin were to be the one with whom talks were to be sought, she would have to have a tremendous number of preconditions on what she would say or it could be disatrous!

McCain Endorsed By Associate Of Terrorist
This past week Lenore Annenberg, wife of Ambassador Annenberg, a founder of the philanthropic Annenberg Foundation, endorsed McCain for President and contributed to his campaign fund. Obama and Ayers sit on the board of directors of the Fund. By McCain-Palin mudslinging logic, that makes Mrs. Anneberg an associate of a known domestic terrorist. By extension, it means that John McCain knowingly has accepted the endorsement of and taken money from the known associate of a known domestic terrorist.
Ari Fleischer was noticeably taken aback yesterday on a Larry King Live segment questioning Palin’s penchant for mudslinging. When the same argument was raised by an Obama supporter about McCain being endorsed by Mrs. Annenberg, King had to twice confirm the truth of Mrs. Annenberg’s endorsement of McCain. Fleischer had no rebuttal.

John McCain is “proud” of his “old friend”, campaign donor and supporter Gordon Liddy — an old friend who who urged his radio program listeners to kill federal agents and advised them on how to do so, and plotted to kill a mainstream media journalist.
G. Gordon Liddy. Liddy served four and a half years in prison for his role in the break-ins at the Watergate and at Daniel Ellsberg’s psychologist’s office. He has acknowledged preparing to kill someone during the Ellsberg break-in “if necessary.” He plotted to kill journalist Jack Anderson. He plotted with a “gangland figure” to murder Howard Hunt in order to thwart an investigation. He plotted to firebomb the Brookings Institution. He used Nazi terminology to outline a plan to kidnap “leftist guerillas” at the 1972 GOP convention. And Liddy’s bad acts were not confined to the early 1970s. In the 1990s, he instructed his radio audience on how to shoot Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents (“Go for a head shot; they’re going to be wearing bulletproof vests.” In case anyone missed the subtlety of his point, Liddy also insisted: “Kill the sons of bitches.”) During Bill Clinton’s presidency, Liddy boasted that he named his shooting targets after the Clintons.
Liddy has donated $5,000 to McCain’s campaigns since 1998, including $1,000 in February 2008. In addition, McCain has appeared on Liddy’s radio show during the presidential campaign, including as recently as May. An online video labeled, “John McCain On The G. Gordon Liddy Show 11/8/07,” includes a discussion between Liddy and McCain, whom Liddy described as an “old friend.” During the segment, McCain praised Liddy’s “adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great,” said he was “proud” of Liddy, and said that “it’s always a pleasure for me to come on your program.”
Liddy has even hosted a fundraiser for McCain at his home.

Putting all partisan aside. AMERICA BE WARE. I am really afraid of Obama. I can’t believe that Americans aren’t worried over his associations. I mean really. America could so change under him that we will all be trembling in our shoes. I love America. I love our freedoms. I love our free enterprise that allows us to prosper. I don’t think people understand the trickle down of economics. The past few weekends I have been out yard selling for my grandkids clothes. I have gotten the best designer clothes for under $1.00 each. The poor can dress better in America than any other country. I remember when BIG screen TV’s were made and I said I can’t afford it now, but will be able to in a few years. The rich buy it first and then we all follow. But without the rich we would never be put into a position to be able to buy one. Can’t the poor see this. Obama will change things so that we will eventually all have nothing.
