Secret White House Memos — Waterboarding OK

The Washington Post is reporting this morning that the Bush administration put its endorsement of interrogation techniques such as water boarding into writing.  That endorsement came in the form of secret memos to the CIA in 2003 and 2004. The CIA wanted cover from the White House because they were worried about the ramifications if the techniques ever became public.

ABC’s Jan Crawford Greenburg reported on the White House’s knowledge of these interrogation techniques earlier this year.

Aside from being illegal and immoral, torture produces only intimidation and “confessions”. Why did the White House need coerced confessions in the “War on Terror”?
Prosecute Bush/Cheney for war crimes.

I do not believe in torture. Discomfort
maybe. Torture -no.
I agree with you there.
However, this does not negate Obama’s past and present actions.
