Blagojevich: “I’ve Enjoyed The Limelight”

Doesn’t get any stranger than this.

Illinois Governor Blagojevich appears, names former state Attorney General Roland Burris to the U.S. Senate; Burris takes questions — nearly all of which are about Blagojevich himself; Congressman Bobby Rush then appears, to inject race into the situation — saying, "Don’t lynch the appointee"; the Lt. Governor, Pat Quinn, says race should have no rule and neither should Blagojevich ("It’s time for him to leave"); finally, several U.S. Senators issue a statement saying that they will not seat Burris — or anyone else appointed by the current governor of Illinois.

Think that about covers it. Stay tuned…
