Palin Says No To Pay Raise

It has been a while since the name Sarah Palin popped up.  But it did today…the AP reporting that the Alaskan Governor is saying no to a proposed pay raise.  The Alaskan legislature is considering upping her pay from $125,000 to $150,000, but the governor says now is not the time for the bump.  Her spokesman saying, "Her view is, it’s just not appropriate to accept a pay raise in the middle of the term."  Worth remembering all the heat Palin took for the tens of thousands of dollars spent on her wardrobe during the campaign

Sarah Palin is a wonderful woman, so this does not surprise me. She has the decency and morals that is a trademark the of Republicans. Way to go Sarah!! We love you.

Man, this is so funny. I don’t know where these “blogs” come from, but fer shur that make absolutely no sense.
You take a good thing (a politician refusing a pay raise), mingle that with a left-field, bot talking point about her clothes during the election campaign (she didn’t buy them, she returned them, and the McCain campaign spent 1/4 as much as the Messiah), and then somebody at ABC thinks that this “story” is worth posting. Gotta love what passes for journalism these days.

Maybe Palin has finally learned shame for her actions. She has not been at work for months, charged the taxpayers of Alaska for her housing and her family’s travel, and sold the Governor’s plane at a loss despite her Ebay fairy tale. The legislature even made “Where is Palin” buttons because of her lack of work ethic. It would not only be bad form but down right ridiculous for her to accept a pay raise, which based on her past actions makes it shocking that she didn’t grift the Alaskan people again.
She is still being photographed in the so-called ‘returned’ clothing, but I am not sure what possible connection that has with the Governor’s salary.

don…
i couldnt agree more. they took a story about her doing a good thing, and had to throw the whole “clothes situation” in at the end.. lol makes you wonder why they even posted it at all? i would rather not see it reporeted at all, versus seeing it reported with an obvious bias and cheap shot.

oh also, i have to add that i love that the “blogger” added a link to read about the “clothes incident” right at the end… lol if the cheap shot wasnt enough, heres a link so you can go back and read about her so called “evil doings”… lol

Even Courtney’s claim that Palin didn’t return all of the clothes is nothing but a dumb suspicion raised by the likes of Arianna Huffington. Talk about having no shame…
And geez, selling off luxury items such as government paid for airplanes is a bad thing? Wow. I think we have a future blogging queen in our midst.

Sarah Palin is one fantastic woman.
She has her values in line and we really really need leadership that follows the same moral compass she has.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if at least one of the major media outlets had someone like her running the show?
(sigh)
I know, wishful thinking.

The final totals spent by the RNC on pomping up Sarah Palin during the campaign:
$173,000 for clothes and accessories
$54,900 for her fashion consultant
$68,400 for her make-up artist
$42,600 for her hair stylist
$338,900 grand total
Palin once denied the initial $150,000 figure. Now she says she “had no idea taxpayer money was being spent in this way.”

Finding number one in the legislative Troopergate report:
“Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act.”
Palin’s response:
“Well, I’m very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing, any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that.”
Sarah Palin’s moral compass ain’t pointin’ north.

“Sarah Palin’s moral compass ain’t pointin’ north.” – Wabbau W.Whatever
The legal system has many times very little to do with what’s morally right or not.
Do some more research and try to find out what a [sarcasm]wonderful guy[/sarcasm] the trooper from troopergate is.
Regarding your money list.
Hardly a drop in the bucket to what NoBo wasted on getting elected.

Did anyone catch Caroline Kennedy making her rounds in New York?
She refused to answer any questions that the reporters asked.
The reporter asked, “You’re not going to answer any questions???”
Caroline thought just by showing her face, that was enough.

Stop focusing on the governor from Alaska.
Start focusing on the governor from Illinois.
Who else has paid up for favors?

It doesn’t matter if the state trooper is Jack the Ripper. The point is Sarah Palin blatantly (pathologically?) lied about the findings of the legislative report. She could have said she disagreed with the finding but instead chose to lie and say “I’m very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing,” and lie some more “…any hint of any kind of unethical activity there,” and lie again “Very pleased to be cleared of any of that. Did she also simultaneously click together the heels of her new ruby slippers in the hopes that her lies might come true?
And speaking of the infamous red shoes the RNC procured, I seriously doubt that Obama spent over a third of a million bucks on designer shoes, suits, ties, silk underwear, stylists, [irony] instant tanners [/irony] and God only knows what from Toys R Us.

Hey WabbaU, News Flash!
When it comes to things related to the Legal System, spin and lies are very worn tools.
I didn’t follow the Troopergate deal because it was all just legal silliness.
If Sarah Palin lies about something of consequence then I’ll get upset.
Yeah NoBo probably didn’t spend money on silk underwear, maybe he goes commando.
He did spend more than a few million on disingenuous ads to win the election.
I guess it matters what candidates spend money on based on your particular moral values.

Of course she should decline the pay raise. She got a $150,000 “gift” this year already. Her consituents might start to think she’s greedy if she asks for more money

who care. She is back in Alaska and that’s where she should stay. She will get the money one way or the other. Don’t be fooled by her turning down the pay raise, it will be given to her in some other way.
