President Bush Helping Hillary Clinton Become Secretary of State

President Bush today signed S.J. Res 46 today, which rolls back the Secretary of State’s salary to the level on January 1, 2007. This is the latest "Saxbe Fix" which, in effect, will allow Hillary Clinton to become Secretary of State by avoiding conflict with the Emoluments Clause in Article One of the Constitution, which reads: "No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."
While Hillary was in the Senate the body gave the Cabinet a raise… so in order for her to now move to Foggy Bottom they’ve dropped her salary back to what it was before she took office. The Senate will now have to do this all over again…for Sen Ken Salazar who is President-elect Obama’s pick for Secretary of the Interior. More here.
Editor’s note: Cabinet level one salaries right now are $191,300 The current salary (2008) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $169,300 per year.

President Barak Obama will be in White house for two terms (Eight years) for sure. Then we will Elect Hillary Clinton as our next President in 2016. Hillary Clinton will win big time. Is there anybody who can beat Hillary Clinton in Republican Party ???

To bad that Obama was stupid enough to put Hilary Clinton as Sec. of State instead of Bill Richardson. I mean lets see, Clinton was First Lady of Arkansas and the United States and now a Senator from New York, and hasn’t done much in that office…while Richardson has been a member of the House of Reps., Governor of New Mexico, Sec. of Energy…which is all good, but his main qualifications is Ambassabor to the UN, has negotiated the release of hostages in Iraq, Cuba, Sudan, and North Korea, and has been nominated 4 times for the Noble Peace Prize…I’m sure if he had the time he would’ve brought peace to the Middle East..he knows now to negotiate with people, and all Hilary knows to do is to look pretty and smile for the camera. Oh well maybe Obama will come to his senses (I don’t it though)

In “My FBI” former FBI director Louis Freeh recounts how former president Clinton solicited a “donation” for his library from the Saudis rather than press them to allow the FBI to investigate the bombing and interrogate those captured (Page 25).
Freeh’s suggestion that Clinton essentailly exploited the murder of 19 Americans to seek a bribe for himself rather than justice for those killed was of course flatly rejected by the Clinton camp.
After all these years Clinton released the donor list to clear the way for Hilary to become SOS and sure enough the Saudis were in fact Clinton donors, just as Freeh said. If Hilary is to become SOS, shouldn’t we look to insure that they are not still on the take.
