Who is the Most Admired Person in America?
First, Merry Christmas from our blog. World News didn’t have a show last night but we do tonight so the blog is back from a day off.
USA Today and Gallup are out with a poll this morning asking who Americans most admire most. The winner? Barack Obama. Its the first time a president-elect has won. Interesting, considering that the poll stretches back more than 50 years. President Bush comes in a distant second. As for women, Hillary Clinton is tops.

You have to admire William Ayers for writing Obama’s book, “Dreams of my father.” William Ayers has written many books. In the “Obama” book and his others, William Ayers uses his signature “triple dependent clause” and cooking metaphors. Also, the many nautical references hark back to Ayer’s days as a merchant seaman in the 1960s. Ayer’s book “Fugitive Days” has the same description of boys riding the backs of Water Buffalo in SE Asia, and many 60s references to black panthers. Obama and Ayers apparently dated the same green eyed blonde, whose parents owned a huge country estate with a lake in the backyard. Also, same story re-told in “To Teach” and “Dreams” about the NYC East River flowing different directions depending on the tides from the sea. Obama has no nautical experience.

An absolutely fitting and deserving honor for Barack Obama. I admire him is taking on SO MUCH starting at day one, and has had to have Secret Service since beginning his presidential campaign because of the crazies and backward people out there who threaten his life and his success. I’ve said this before: he must love his country very much to want to tackle the job before him. If you pray, however you pray and to whomever you pray, pray for Barack Obama. We need to come together as a nation.

This is not the first time a president elect has won. Dwight Eisenhower also won – I guess since he is a Republican it doesn’t count.
The press continues to be shills for our dear leader. They no doubt will continue to kiss Obama’s rear as he leads us into a depression and a period of civic unrest not seen since the civil war.

So far the president elect has avoided any comments on the issues facing our nation. He also seems to be on vacation a lot more than other presidents. At some point I hope he can get around to actually doing the job.

Lori:
Did I miss the events? How many times has the Pres. elect has taken vacation? And when was he sworn-in in order to tackle issues facing the nation??

This poll means nothing;just a lot fluff. I wish PEBO much success, and I hope he ignores this type of nonsense, and gets on with what he was elected to do.

Rita, this is now the third vacation to Hawaii that Mr. Obama has been on in the last 2.5 months. What exactly does he need a vacation from?

Colonel Rebel, go back to “that” country and eat more of their mushrooms so that you can “float” in eternity. Your brains, it is debatable whether you actually have any, is right in the midst of your ****. Perhaps you should go get a life and learn how the world really is, instead of living in fantasy land. Aaaaahhh, perhaps that’s where you really belong.

What a contradiction??? How come that the Approval rating of Bush is on the twenties, at the same he comes second being as an admired person!!!!
Is it not the indicator how people think!!!

It is interesting that politicians top the list. No Mr. Integrity Ron Paul? No Einstein, Newton, Maxwell, Faraday? No Gates, Buffet, Schiff? It just goes to show how pathetic our populace is.

Something is going wrong with the poll that I couldn’t find Laura Bush on the list.

Oops, correction to my previous post. Those scientists were not Americans and are dead, but the fact that there are no scientists or engineers is very telling.

When republicans express their thoughts and theories, we are called ‘crazy.
But when Oliver Stone comes out with a ‘movie’, it’s taken as evidence?

Lori:
Are you counting it as vacation when he went to say the last good bye to his
grandma on her last days?????
If that is the case, I admire your mathematics!!!

I predict that by the end of 2010 Mr. Obama’s approval rating will be below that of President Bush today. We have thrown nearly 8 trillion dollars at this slow economic slowdown and yet Obama seems to think that what we really need is more deficit spending from the government. He does not talk about business growth or really anything in the private sector, only more government spending. This is a tragic mistake. Governments do not create wealth, businesses and private industries do.

How sad that the 20% of neo-con die hards in this country will never acknowledge or accept what the rest of the world knows, that Bush is the worst thing to ever happen to this country, to the world.

Lori,
For the record, Obama’s last vacation was just after the DNC in August, or nearly 4 months ago (after having “worked” 7 days a week for almost a year). Unless, of course, you count the quick trip to see his dying grandmother in October as a vacation, in which case I hope you have more respect for your relatives than you do for his.

Bravo Americans for not buying. It is truly the power of the people to show that without spendable income the greedy will suffer. When a retailer can bring down prices 80%, imagine the profits you were previously giving and then compounded by the obscene profits to credit card companies. This shows the true power of the people

Lori wonders when will Obama get around to actually doing the job???
um, it’s not his job until Jan. 20th. Usually after winning an election new Pres. Elects vanish from the public view.
