Cheney’s Last Act — And A New Item For Roland Burris’ Mausoleum

You may recall that among the more, er, quirky items in the biography of soon-to-be, Blagojevich-appointed U.S. Senator Roland Burris was the fact that he has prepared his own burial place, a mausoleum marked "Trail Blazer", with a list of accomplishments and space left for more. Burris often referes to himself in the third person — and once said, during an unsucessful run for the Senate, "Illinois is the Land of Lincoln — maybe someday it will be the Land of Burris." So today Vice President Cheney will swear in Roland Burris. Meaning that his last official act as Vice President may be to help Roland Burris add an item to that mausoleum…

How nice of the helmet headed Blago to give us a nutcase for a Senator. I hope that someone decent, perhaps the Illinois AG Lisa Madigan will take this guy out in a primary so he can go back to building that weird crypt of his.

Burris? He ALWAYS looks like the cat that ate the canary. Does anybody trust this guy? He obviously lacks ethics… after all, he grabbed Blago by the butt and swing into Congress. What a slimeball.
