Pilot Jumps From Plane; Was He Jumping From The Law?

Check out our piece on this wild story — with datelines in Indiana, Alabama and Northern Florida — about a guy who appears to have ditched his plane in mid-air, set in on autopilot, and parachuted into some marshy parts of southern Alabama. Local, state and federal authorities now are hunting for the man — 38-year-old Marcus Schrenker — and they believe he may have had all sorts of reasons to, er, get away.

I don’t know, but you got to give it to him for going the extra mile.

Jumping from his plane doesn’t even make sense. How did he fake his death?
There was no body around – just a smashed up plane. What did he really accomplish? He could have just left the country. I suppose he didn’t really think this through.
