Jamie Oliver: Watch What You Eat!
Chef Jamie Oliver recently sat down with ABC News’ Nick Watt to dish on his favorite topic: food.
The star of ‘The Naked Chef’ is currently on a new mission — campaigning against the use of processed foods in national schools. He wants everyone to know a little bit more about animal welfare, and he’s not afraid to prove his point.
Last year, to demonstrate the life cycle of the chickens, Oliver
killed one live on television. Last month he inseminated a pig while viewers cringed. It’s grim television, but it seems to be working. Find out how tonight on Nightline, and make sure to try out Oliver’s recipe for Parmesan Chicken Breasts with Crispy Posh Ham.

Good for him, it’s about time people learn where there food comes from. Beef isn’t simply made wrapped in plastic and people should understand what they put in their mouths. Perhaps if we all knew what was being done to mass produce our foods we would be a little more willing to purchase locally grown, or at least humanely grown beef, pork and vegetables rather than the factory “farm” crap being shoved at us in the local supermarket.

This reminds me of Sarah Palin’s interview in front of the turkey slaughter. Oops, no it doesn’t. Scratch that. I forgot. It’s different if it’s anybody but her. Somehow, we forgive anyone but her.

I think that we do need to see how food is prepared, as another said, beef does not just come all wrapped up in plastic like it seems. Watching things like this seriously makes me want to be a vegetarian!

If we ate foods as close as possible to how they grew-without processing, additives, coloring agents, sugars of all types, limited our fat intake to 10% of our calorie intake, Big Pharma, Big Agra would probably grow broke, but we wouldn’t care, because we would have healthier happier more creative people.
We wouldn’t be the sickest, fattest, and more likely to die of cancer and heart attacks people on the planet. But we can’t because processed foods are being pushed on us from every direction. But no, advertisements encourage us to eat food deviod of the nutrition our bodies are starving for, and then more ads try to sell us the magic pill to cure what could be avoided by eating real, as raw as possible food. We are trained to crave processed foods, because economies are based on producing more, selling more, buying more. When do we become grateful for having enough. when do we take responsibility for eating food God created our bodies to thrive eating. No, we’re fed french fries, and fast food to keep us quiet, save time, and then wonder why so many of us develop chronic disease in higher and higher numbers. If we had clean untreated water(flouride is a byproduct of aluminum production that got sold as a cure for tooth decay by Alcoa in the thirties), and we are reaping the results with our lives. It is useless for helping tooth decay when we drink it, somewhat effective when applied topically. But the Dr.’s and dentists are taught to use drugs and vaccines in schools, and in papers funded by the drug makers themselves… And so we get sicker, and crazier and more violent and depressed
