Ledes We Wish We’d Written
EmailFrom the Chicago Sun-Times:
"Inverness Police say former Cook County Republican Chairman Gary Skoien admitted having two prostitutes in his children’s playroom when his wife walked in on him early Sunday morning."
(For what it’s worth: Skoien said the police were incorrect, he was only talking to a friend. The cops stick by their report.)

Missing from this short blurb is that police were called in after Skoien was beaten by his wife with an electric guitar upon finding him, and that initially Skoien did admit to police that he had two prostitutes but has now changed his story.
