MTA Gives “Citi Field” Bronx Cheer

Citibank still has a $400 million deal with the New York Mets to name the team’s new ballpark “Citi Field,” but the nearby subway stop won’t bear the bank’s name.

The New York City Transit Authority won’t use Citi’s name on the stop because the bank wouldn’t pony up cash for the privilege, according to the New York Times.  The station will be called “Mets/Willets Point.”

Remind me how much bailout money Citibank has received–think it’s too late to get a $400 million refund?
