Brooklyn Filmmakers Report from Iran
EmailAs we know from American journalist Roxana Saberi’s recent conviction for spying in Iran, the country is not a safe place for Western journalists. Few are given access, and once they get into Iran, their activities are often limited. Last month, a group of Brooklyn-based filmmakers were allowed to attend the International Urban Film Festival in Tehran, and they were able to do some reporting on the side. The World News webcast recently spoke to the founder of Vice Films, Eddy Moretti, about the challenges of independent movie making in Iran.
A couple of big hurdles for filmmakers include:
1) no on-screen kissing (it’s been prohibited since the Iranian Revolution in 1979), and
2) women cannot sing alone (their voices are considered too provocative).

VERY good job Mr. Moretti. Someone finally really told it like it is! Everyone always tries to paint a rosier picture of Iran than what we Iranians know it to be and it’s a breath of fresh air when someone finally deconstructs the real Iran for westerners to understand better.

next killing. The next suicide bomber.
The next atrocity made in the name of
Allah, That’s what bothers me.Jihad is
spoken once in the Holy Qu’ran. Allah
only permits Jihad in specific cases,
and he abhors violence and killing
for the sake of violence and killing.
That’ what bothers me. And the head of
your government calling for the annhil-
ation of Isreal and anyone else that do
not believe as does bothers me. But
Isreal will settle all of this very soon and none of it will bother me anymore. Insha Allah.

I have my own beautifull copy of The Holy Qu’ran. It is entitled: The Mean-
ing of The Holy Qu’ran by:ABDULLAH
YUSUF ‘ALI. This Qur’an is green and gold etching and it is in both Arabic
and English. I keep it with my NRKJV
of the Holy Bible and the TORAH(TALMUD).

I do pray for peace,but I no that according to the scripture’s that this
is not going to be possible.According
to the prophicies of all three Bibles
the end is nye and we should all make
preperations for the coming of the Lamb.
God(Allah) said that He would come like
a thief in the night, so we must be prepared for His coming.He will not per-
mit us to destroy eachother. That is His
job after He cleanses the world of all
