Harman Responds to Spy Flap

Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA) issued a new statement, responding to allegations the NSA recorded a conversation between her and a suspected Israeli spy, promising to swap favors:”The CQ Politics story simply recycles three year-old discredited reporting of largely unsourced material to manufacture a ‘scoop’ out of widely known and unremarkable facts – that Congresswoman Jane Harman is and has long been a supporter of AIPAC, and that some members of AIPAC regarded her as well-qualified to chair the House Intelligence Committee following the 2006 elections. Congresswoman Harman has never contacted the Justice Department about its prosecution of present or former AIPAC employees and the Department has never informed her that she was or is the subject of or involved in an investigation. If there is anything about this story that should arouse concern, it is that the Bush Administration may have been engaged in electronic surveillance of members of the congressional Intelligence Committees.”

The Bush Administration was involved in illegal wire tapping. They were also involved in torture. Why are they still roaming free? Why are they not in prison? Why are we paying pensions to these criminals? If anyone should be having tea parties over anything — its that taxpayer funds will continue to the support those war criminals!!

What is wrong with the NSA tapping into your communications Rep. Harman?!? You have anything to hide?? The NSA has security clearance, so it cannot be that you might disclose information that they could not be privy to. I guess with your hypocrital standards, the rules and regulations, just like paying taxes, is really designed for the OTHER people (i.e., those laws only apply to the people, and not the politicians). You are a pathetic fool.
