When my mother was alive, she used to watch “The Guiding Light” on CBS Television from June 30th, 1952 through April 8th, 2005, but unfortunately she passed away on Saturday Morning, May 7th, 2005 at the age of 80 years old.
My father passed away 30 years and 3 months before that, which was on Sunday Night, February 16th, 1975 at the age of 51 years old.

I have been watching GL since I was in high school…..it’s the only one I watch….tried watching others but they aren’t as good as GL…..the show was lagging (writers strike,etc.) but has been really great recently….love Phillip being back…need Jonathon to come in now and bring Sara back….wow

I’m sick that GL is being taken off the air. What does a person to do to change the minds of CBS? I’ve been watching since 1956. My afternoons will

Well at least more people may turn in to General Hospital now. But a lot of Talk Shows are getting more popular too. Cable & Dish & Direct is what’s today!!!!!

I’m not missing the point. Go have a latte and relax. What can you do with your time? Maybe get outside and enjoy the planet we live on before terrorists or crazy dictators blow us all away!
P.S. there are other soaps to watch if you are addicted to soaps.

Please do not cancel Guiding Light, i have been watching for 45 years, since I was 8, I hate all the other soaps, all they are are a bunch of needy women who sleep around. Guiding Light is family, the Bauers, the Coopers, the Spauldings, (as evil as they are), I Love Them, especially since Phillip has returned.
I Love Reva and Jeffrey together.
Please do something to try and keep OUR FAMILY with us still, it will be like mourning a Loved One.

I grew up with the Guiding Light and I just can’t believe that it is being cancelled…..for what….some rediculous show with no morals, something to match the “changing times”, ……………there is little enough on day time tv that’s even remotely interesting…….this show is like watching part of your family.

LIGHT” BEING CANCELED. jUST MAKE SURE
THE BABY REVA HAD TURNS OUT TO BE JOSH’S
THEN GET JOSH AND REVA BACK TOGETHER.
PLEASE. WHAT A HAPPY ENDING FOR ONE
GREAT SHOW. NO MORE REALITY SHOWS, GAME
SHOWS OR FUNNY HOME VIDEOS. WE HAVE ENOUGH OF THOSE KINDS AS IT IS.

Hey CBS leave Guiding light alone. I have been watching this show since 1957.
if you cancel it what will we old
faithfulls do with our time in the afternoon . in my area in NC, CBS has already droped 10 to 11 am in favor of
informercials . so we all want to keep G L on air
