Cheney Is Attacking the Bush Administration?

Quotes of the day:

"The great Obama-Cheney event got us everywhere and nowhere. Everywhere in the sense that this, finally, was the national-security debate that never was in a campaign dominated by other issues and two candidates who agreed on Gitmo and torture; nowhere in the sense that we’re right where we were before. What President Obama is trying to do is actually more audacious than hope: It’s nuance. He’s painting in grays for an audience that’s used to black and white. He’s sewing a patchwork that Vice President Dick Cheney says is really an unraveling." — Rick Klein, ABC News

"When Cheney lambastes the change in security policy, he’s not really attacking the Obama administration. He’s attacking the Bush administration. In his speech on Thursday, he repeated in public a lot of the same arguments he had been making within the Bush White House as the policy decisions went more and more the other way." — David Brooks, The New York Times

"A year ago, six months ago, people were debating whether this was a crisis or not. They thought it would be contained to the United States, the world would be insulated from it. No one takes that view now. Their economies are going through as challenging a period as ours, in many ways, more challenging than ours, and I think that has led to greater recognition about the imperative in Europe for more aggressive action. You’re seeing it." — Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner

"If you’re out there, please bring Danny home so we can decide as a family what Danny’s treatment should be." — Anthony Hauser’s public plea for his wife to respond to a court order and bring home their 13-year-old son.  Daniel Hauser’s cancer has a  90% cure rate in children treated with chemotherapy and radiation; the survival rate drops to 5% without those treatments, which Daniel’s mother is refusing wanting to pursuit natural remedies.  Mother and son are on the run.

Bush and Cheney are great examples of “There is no honor among thieves.”

If there were ANY attacks stopped as a result of their unlawful “techniques” we would have heard about them over and over again.
Sorry boys, that dog don’t hunt.

It incenses me to hear Cheney called Vice President Cheney-we have only 1 VP at a time and his name is Biden! We voted Cheney and his entire Hate, Fear Mongering agenda out of office. He is former VP cheney.

It’s all George Bush’s fault! OK, it works for Democrats so I thought it would be a perfect, all situation explaination of the problems of the world…lol…The real reason is the Tea Party. Wait? That won’t work either. OK, OK, OK. I’ll actually try to think but it’s very, very hard. I’m not used to it at all.
