Closing Arguments: Torture Ever Acceptable?

There is new life in the debate over torture.

The controversy was reignited after President Obama’s Justice Department released formerly classified memos that justified harsh CIA interrogation methods under President Bush — techniques that included waterboarding and sleep deprivation.

Democrats and Republicans continue to argue over who knew what when and the very definition of torture.

So tonight, we ask you: What is your definition of torture? And is it ever acceptable?
