Googlefail

ABC’s Bradley Blackburn from New York: For a while this morning, it seemed like the Google Earth was going to end.  Important services like Gmail, Google Calendar, and even Google Search were either slow or completely inaccessible for people across the U.S. and around the world. Tens of thousands took to twitter to share their frustration over what’s being called #googlefail. A user called Lapresmidi wrote, "Life without Google kind of sucks.  Even if it’s only for an hour or two."  And DMgoth tweeted, "I want my life back!!"  Google acknowledged the problem, saying, "The issue affecting some Google services has been resolved. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and we’ll share more details soon."  Regardless of the cause of today’s problems, the outage once again showed how many people depend on Google to find information, communicate and organize their lives.  When Google goes down, the internet comes to a stop. And one twitterer, MsCareerGirl, said what many here were thinking: "I wonder how #googlefail helped yahoo?!"
