ABC’s Chuck Lustig from New York:
This morning I made my usual round of phone calls….London, Beijing and Seoul, where over a half a million Koreans turned out for the funeral of former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun. While debriefing our reporter Joohee Cho about the funeral, conversation turned to North Korea’s missiles. Since Monday’s underground nuclear test North Korea has fired six short range missiles off their East coast. Joohee pointed out that it is believed North Korea has over 800 such missiles. By our calculations (not hard math here) with six missiles already fired the North has 794 missiles left. At the rate of two a day we figured the North Koreans will deplete their stock in about a year. Maybe something to look forward to after a tension filled week on the Korean Peninsula.
