I was about the same age as M.J. so I grew up listening to him and his brothers. When he launched his solo career I was also going on the road with my band. Not the same of course but I still feel a connection with Michael.
His talent was amazing. Both his music and his dancing.
He will go down as one of the “Greats”.
You will be missed Michael, but you will always live on in the hearts of millions!!

Bob Dylan said it best:
“Idols are best when there made if stone
savior are a nuisance to live with at
home
Star often fall,heroes go unsung
Martyr’s most certainly die too young.”
A spirit adrift in the wilderness.

I remember when I was in 4th grade, in Monterey CA (on a Navy base)we took a field trip to our sister school (because they were the only school who had cable TV in our area) to watch the premier of the Thriller Video. It was the best field trip ever. Thriller is forever the best music video ever made; in my book. Michael Jackson is an icon and a legend and will forever be the KING of pop. Rest in peace Peter Pan!

Peace and love to the Jackson family friends and fans. His passing is a shock, we are sad and we will miss him a lot. He was so in touch with his soul that he used his talent to the best of his abilities to perform and help others. He left so much for the world for his short life of only 50 years, im grateful for his wonderful songs and videos, his humanitarian work, love and childhood electric moonwalk memories and mostly to share this lifetime with him until we meet again. He is now rejoicing as his spirit is eternal after touching all of our hearts, let this remind us to appreciate more, embrace more, love more, particularly let’s use each talent for greater good as God create us. Let’s remember him by enjoying life, we are one… the message is LOVE. All is well

“King of Pop” Michael Jackson 1958-2009
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought of you yesterday,
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memories is our keepsake,
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Keep singing and dancing in heaven Michael ….. PEACE

My heart goes out to the Jackson family.
Michael was my childhood idle/sweetheart. Being 1 year apart, I was 11yrs old. I would always have dreams of being married to Michael. Told my mom I was going be Mrs M. Jackson. I remember a friends mother who worked in the fan club business. My friend Wanda called me and said she had gotten a hold of Michaels house number in IN. I was sooo crazed by this finding. She gave me the number, I was not sure if was the number. Back at the time calling long distant was for parents only. So beign the child I was I decided to call anyway. Well I called this number and a person pick up the pphone and said the ” Jackson resident” my mouth was opened. I asked to speak to Michael. When they said who’s calling I froozefor a min than H/U. Of
coarse whenmy mother got the bill and saw that call you know what happened
We laugh about it all the time when you have those conversations of childhood funnies.
Michael was a legand and will be deeply
missed.
As for my favorite song I loved them all
but if I had to choose (1) it would be
Never Can Say Goodbye.
I will miss you Michael.

Being an 11 year old I wouldn’t know as much about Michael. But yesterday hearing he died made me want to cry somewhat. He is the greatest entainer in the world.
I now know this because Yesterday on Mtv at 5 thay stopped all the shows and played MJ songs till 825 a.m. (its still going on). Also they said they were going to show a play thing for Faurrah Faucett and their still playing MJ things. MJ YOU ROCK R.I.P.

Best Songs – Man in the Mirror and You Are Not Alone.
To MJ’s family, lift your heads high and stand proud of your brother’s, son’s, dad’s accomplishments in thos short lived years of his. He made half a century, but throughout the world everyone knew him as the greatest of the greats in Pop and Dance.
He loved what he did so he put his heart into it and for that we were happy everytime we hear any and all of his music. I hope his soul rests in peace and that his children and rest of the family will be comforted in the coming months. I will forever love you Michael Jackson.

What can I say… Michael Jackson IS the influence & foundation of ALL Music (videos, dance steps, singing style, music, song subjects, performances, etc.)today and tomorrow. Everything he did was for his fan’s acceptance. People lost respect for him and I could only image how this wore him down. Nevertheless he kept his chin up during his worst times. He planned for a comeback this year in order to personally share his art with the new era of people which were not privileged to live and experience the passion he and his fans had for his music. He was robbed of this opportunity by death. Lets not forget why he loved children so much. He believed they are the future. Children had no experiences which created prejudices toward others. He probably felt they were the only ones who would give him a chance again in a world where his name was stained. To me, Jesus inspired a better way of life to the world and Michael Jackson inspired a better site & sound of music to the world. God Bless him for ever! He will surely not be forgotten.

I remember going to a friend’s house to watch Michael’s video premieres back when Thriller and Billy Jean were released. They premiered these videos on ABC in prime time. When was the last time you saw a performer debut a music video in prime time on a major network? That shows you how colossal he is. He is bigger than life. Michael is a true world citizen and a wonderful spirit. I have a 5 year and 7 year old and love to read Peter Pan to them. It is so great just being a kid again with my children. MJ brought out the kid in us all and that was his greatest gift.
God Bless You Michael and the Jackson Family. You are a one of kind.
