Closing Arguments: Obama’s Muslim Message
President Barack Obama made a major address today in Egypt — aimed at the world's 1.5 billion Muslims. "I've come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world," Obama said. "One based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition." Over 55 minutes, the president spoke about the common ground shared by Americans and Muslims and the respect he has for the Muslim faith. His stated goal: foster peace by challenging extremism. So tonight, we ask you: Will the speech achieve a new beginning for the U.S. and the Muslim population around the world? Or will the rhetoric fail to bring peace? Tell us what you think. Our security is again at risk, as
Obama seems to apologize to muslims,
He really scares me and I am so sorry
he bought his way into office. Obama
is not a good president and is more like
a dictator and really scary.
He does not have the experience nor
talent to be involved in foreign affairs. And he is way off in left field on our economy. What he had done
to the car companies and to the
corporate jet business is criminal.
Wish Americans would wake up and have
him impeached before it is too late.

Yes it will. This is the first step. The President understands that just this one speech will not cure all, but it is a start. He is breaking ground that the previous President didn’t care to. The GOP would have us believe that all muslims are terrorist, when in fact, what Ben Ladin and Al-Quaida are doing are extreme. What they are doing is not the teachings of the prophet Muhammad and the Coran.

The Future Middle East
Today the future in the Middle East, as we hear, sounds very bleak.
As people with a deceptive heart, are looking for a brand new start,
Moving many men to understand, a crucial need to remap the land.
This to eradicate the Land of Israel, totally justified by a wicked will.
The tiny land men call Palestine, will be subdued by a force Divine.
The promise given to Abraham, by the will of God will forever stand.
The terror that now rules the land, will be eliminated by God’s Hand.
The Lord Himself shall intervene, with His presence upon the scene.
The present land on the world scene, was the land of the Philistines.
That ancient land was conquered by, Joshua’s army for God on high.
It was never subdued totally friend, but that mistake was not the end.
Eternal God, whose land this is, through King David took care of this.
For God put David on the Throne, in that land which is Israel’s home,
As the King of the Promised Land, that God had granted to Abraham.
God swore to David as the King, the reign he began was everlasting.
He reigned as King in Jerusalem, where all shall see God’s Own Son.
The land will be subdued for sure, by Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord.
Never again shall it be the same, after Jesus Christ begins His Reign.
Christ will purge The Promised Land, for the descendents of Abraham.
Then all of Israel shall live secure, under the Reign of Christ our Lord.

Obama, a professing “Christian”, should read from The Word of God, not from his teleprompter:
The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3)
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:15-23)

Just one more round in a never ending circle of failed rhetoric…we have seen these types of speech play out for the last century to no avail…meaningless words falling on deaf ears…and are things any better in the Middle East??? Not by a long shot. The warfare and dying continues at it’s lowest common denominator. The innocent still suffer. The U. S. is still hated for the failures of it’s foreign policies…and the Muslims are still distrusted because of their deceit and lies…look back in history, unrest in the Middle East pre-dates biblical and written language…why? Religious intolerance, political ambition, avarice and greed. Will the Muslims ever accept the U. S.??? NEVER !!! The intolerance built over centuries of religious persecution and distrust is a double edged sword…each religion viewing the other as “INFIDELS”. Will Obama’s “speech to the multitudes”, change this situation??? I think not…JUST MORE WASTED WORDS !!! However I wish him luck.

Three cheers for President Obama! It is about time the this country considered its roots in our Constitution and spoke out for those who are oppressed in Palestine. The State of Israel can never be considered democratic when it has a two class system of treating those who live there and in the Occupied Territories. I suggest the best way to get Israel’s attention to NOT expand settlements in the Occupied Territories is to NOT send any more military aid until the country complies. Israel should also remove settlers from the West Bank as they did with the settlers in Gaza, remove them completely.

The effort being made by the Obama Administration is quite respectable. That being said, there can never be a completely mutual relationship between America and the Muslim world for as long as the U.S. keeps its close ties with Israel. Frankly, for as long as there is a nation of Israel, peace will never be achieved in the Middle East.

President Obama’s speech was not cold, but like root beer or milk, you want to get it while it is fresh and frosty. Once it starts to warm up, it is not as good. The only way this speech will usher in a new direction and a new relationship is if Obama backs up what he says. And especially if he takes Uncle Sam from being a boot lackey if Israel.

I agree with Frederick. His speech also shows how arrogant he’s become; that’s what happens when you believe your own press. Jewish people–many of you who voted for B.O.– be afraid, be very afraid. It’s funny how he didn’t spotlight his Muslim roots when he was running, but now, he’s using them. He’s all about misdirection and misrepresentation–get wise, America, before it’s too late.
He definitely has his own agenda, a la “Rules for Radicals.” So far, it’s worked perfectly because of the idiot Americans who voted for B.O.

Obama has little sense of this country’s Judeo-Christian heritage/history and Muslim history. His rhetoric will not find much of an audience in either place.

Obama is a fool to think that these radical islamics want to make peace with the US! They are PLAYING us america and using Obama as the bait! Obama is rgood at taking a scripture from the bible or taking a Surah out of the Quran and think he’s making a point. He has no clue what he’s talking about. He needs to read the Quran in it’s context and he’ll see Muslims doctrine is not about making peace. They want to wipe out the US for Islam like they’re currently doing in Europe. That’s why it’s been nicknamed EURABIA! Wake up America Obama is selling out this countries Freedom to make friends!

” It is always more difficult to fight against Faith than against Knowledge”. Adolph Hitler 1933
Faith is intangible and allows for human interpretation…Knowledge is reason supported by truth. Knowledge seems to have been forgotten by world policy makers and leaders. Until the leaders for the countries in this region can lay aside their religious differences and ancient hatreds, and work for the common good, there can never be peace in the Middle East.
Islamic politics seem to be when you say you are going to do one thing, while intending to do another. Then you do neither what you said nor what you intended. will Obama’s speech achieve a new beginning for peace…probably not!!!

People like Swam 20 need to wake up and smell the coffee. Bush was no more ” experienced” than Obama, in fact Bush was out of touch with reality of world politics. Talk about impeachment? What about impeaching Geroge Bush? I think Americans need to realise that this once great nation needs every help it can get to get back on the road to recovery . When the great nation is even borrowing money from Mexico and China amongst others it time to get real and realsie that the world outside the US has moved on. Obama’s attempts should be applauded ans be seen as one step of many ahead. Its easy to dismiss those willing to try and make peace but before you do that think of the price of not having peace?

Barrack Hussain Obama is on the right course to take Americans out of the Satanic bush of misconceptions.
” But those who believe and work righteousness will be admitted to Gardens beneath which rivers flow,-to dwell there in forever with the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be:”Peace” Abraham 14 :24
Yes the greeting with the word peace, was exactly what Obama did. Americans must wake up and support their President to work towards creating a world of peace, not war.How I miss Jenice J.

Previous administrations led us to believe that if others are not like us, then they must be our enemy. “If you’re not with us; you’re against us!” That attitude has brought other nations to dislike us because of our expressed and practiced arrogance. What our President is doing is reaching out to begin the change of that paradigm about us. You may remember that our President is a follower of one of the greatest President’s of all time: Abraham Lincoln. Remember what Honest Abe said: “The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.” For all you naysayers, at least President Obama is moving toward finding common ground. All of your negative comments do nothing more than foster the fear and hate of years past.

I dont see an apoloy was offered, only an offer of trying to better understand. We are different and that difference was respected while he upheld the US. We can never make a difference if we refuse to at least talk to people we disagree with, all that happens then is each getting angry because we wont see the differences.

Funny America still thinks different from the rest of the world. Obama see the picture: His words in Egypt were warm, honest. His performance before an Arab audience was brilliant-first time I seen or heard an American leader mention those words of Godly praise:’Allahu Akibar!’ Obama is determined to change our world for the better. He needs support from home, guys! Give ‘im a break!!
Posted by: wongi | June 6, 2009, 1:02 pm 1:02 pm
What in the hell is he doing in Egypt now? When is he going to get us a single-payer, nationalized, universal pension system in this country? And, when is he going to get us a single-payer, nationalized, universal health-care system in this country?
I am so sick of watching this failed presidency unfold that I could puke. I actually voted for totally incompetent turkey.

Now isn’t that something. You would have never heard Obama say half the things he said to the muslim world before last years election…never. Even saying his real name. It shows how muslim he really is.
I guess he is only a christian in the USA when he needs the votes. I should of suspected something when he keeps quoting the Quran to the press corp. Not to mention saying an Islamic prayer to a New York time reporter in fluent arabic.
You just keep switching religions depending on how much approval you need.
