The Wall Street Journal has an interesting story about the Justice Department increasing its scrutiny of Google in deals that have allowed the search engine and expanding company to post excerpts of books online in their Google Library and Google Books format and details of a settlement the company agreed to last year.

The new head of the Justice Department's Anti-trust Division, Christine Varney, has pledged more robust enforcement and investigations from the Department, this may be one of the first major cases they seek to move forward on aggressively in the new administration.
