President Obama Writes Note to Excuse Fourth Grader from School

Barack Obama surprised everyone when he wrote a note to excuse a girl from school today.  John Corpus brought his daughter with him to attend a town hall meeting to hear Obama speak in person.  When Corpus stood up to ask Obama a question about health care reform, he mentioned that his daughter skipped school to attending the meeting.  The President replied, “Do you need me to write a note?”  To everyone’s surprise, the President was serious.  He asked Corpus for his daughter’s name, wrote the note, and then handed it to her.
