Report: Before Pentagon Work, Contractor Sold Drugs, Fireworks

Now it’s getting a little more interesting!

The man whose defense firm has enjoyed $50 million in earmarks courtesy of Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA) used to run mass quantities of weed and even some cocaine, the Washington Post reports today. Before that, he sold fireworks in the South.

Kuchera is reportedly under investigation for padding its bills, and the Navy recently suspended it from doing any more work for it. The company denies the allegations, and is appealing its suspension.
