LA Taxpayers Picking Up A Pricey Tab for Jackson Memorials

So how much did the Michael Jackson memorialization cost the city of Los Angeles?  Turns out the extra police, the overtime, the logistics, tallies to $1.4 million in fees for LA.  The city tried to solicit donations from the public to help defray costs.  That didn't really work.  Now the city attorney wants to know exactly why LA ended up absorbing the costs and if there's a way to force someone to chip in.
