Obama Likes Mike Over Kobe
ABC's Kristi Berner from New York: Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant may have won his fourth NBA title last month, along with his first playoff MVP trophy… but today he got dissed by the First Basketball Fan. The Associated Press asked President Barack Obama straight out: Kobe or Michael? And the President did not hesitate in his answer. “Oh, Michael,” Mister Obama said. “I mean, Kobe's terrific. Don't get me wrong," he said. "But I haven't seen anybody match up with Michael." He means Chicago Bulls six-time NBA champion and all-around basketball legend Michael Jordon, of course. Obama, a huge basketball fan (and player) who hails from Chicago, is certainly no Lakers hater. He picked Bryant's team to defeat the Orlando Magic in the finals this year, and he was right. Earlier this year, the President filled out his NCAA college basketball tournament bracket for ESPN. Mister Obama’s pick to win it all, North Carolina, eventually prevailed, although none of the President’s other final four picks made it that far.

What do you expect Obama to say — he’s from Chicago.
