Quick Fix: Juju Juggles Kids and Nutrition

Maybe it’s the Berkeley/Park Slope background, but my kids are happy snacking on Persian cucumbers, apples, raisins, grapes, cheese sticks, and organic fruit leather. They don’t really even see much of the cupcake/chips thing with their friends, either.

But if you are constantly talking to your kids about calories and fat content where does informative stop and obsessive begin? All of the girls that I know who have battled eating disorders started because their parents did always bring up the calories that the child was eating. We have to teach kids good habits but discussing the calorie content doesn’t seem to me to be the way to do that.

this is pretty lame…kids don’t need to worry about this junk…just eat some cookies…and go outside and play…yes, it’s that easy
