18 1/2 minutes.  It is one of the most scandalous emissions in American history.  18 minutes missing from the audio recording of a conversation between Richard Nixon and H. R. Haldeman on June 20, 1972 regarding the Watergate break-in and cover up.  Mother Jones today is reporting that expert named Phil Mellinger believes he has a way to find out what was said in that famed gap in the conversation.  It's not about the audio recording but rather recreating the missing section in Haldeman's notes.  A good summer read.
