Ahmadinejad Lashes Out at Israel, Holocaust in Latest Speech

ABC's Lara Setrakian reports from Dubai: Millions took to the streets of Iran today as part of state-sponsored rallies in support of Palestinians. While opposition protesters used the open space to rage against the regime, government supporters packed a prayer hall at Tehran University, where Ahmadinejad gave a speech blasting Israel and casting doubt on the Holocaust. “The pretext for the creation of the Zionist regime is false…it is a lie based on an unprovable and mythical claim,” Ahmadinejad said. He added that it was Iran’s “national and religious duty” to confront Israel. “The president wanted to convey the fact that we will see a second administration with pretty much the same foreign policy agenda,” said Kaveh Afrasiabi, an Iranian academic who supports Ahmadinejad. The leader of Hamas, Khaled Mishaal, attended the events in Tehran according to PressTV.  “The Palestinian issue is a bridge to the Arab and Muslim world. At this critical juncture where Iran feels somewhat on the defensive on the nuclear issue…the Palestinian issue is exactly the kind of venue that generates the kind of sympathy and support it really needs in the region.” Ahmadinejad’s remarks come a day after reports that a secret IAEA document viewed by the Associated Press said Iran had “sufficient information” to create a nuclear weapon and has worked on developing a missile system that could deliver the warhead. Iran has long insisted it was developing nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. Its program is under intense public scrutiny as Ahmadinejad prepares to speak in New York at the UN General Assembly next week. Iran then heads into talks with world powers, including the US, on October 1. Jacqueline Shire, a Senior Analyst at the Institute for Science and International Security, says the AP report has altered the backdrop for the discussions. “My impression of talking to people close to the administration is that this is a meeting that just needs to be gotten through,” she said, adding that a series of subsequent meetings would test what the talks can achieve. “Iran has mastered the enrichment component of the fuel cycle, and established facts on the ground at Natanz that are going to be hard to unwind.”

I think both sides of this mess have much to be criticized for. Israel thumbs its nose at the world by building more and more settlements. Other side is just as bad by shooting rockets and bombing. No solution in sight.

The solution is very simple – move the Zionist state to the US and give back the stolen and occupied lands to their righteous owners – the Palestinian people! P.S. ABC please do not forget to delete my comment – I am critical to Israel!

I think that Ahmadinejad is a fictional character like ‘Borat’. Nobody in real life can be that ignorant. He’s from Hollywood, right?
I didn’t waste my money to go see ‘Borat’ either. I will have to pass on the ‘Ahmadinejad’ movie.
You know what was a good movie where everyone cheered at the end?
‘Inglourious Basterds’! Now that had a happy ending!

“give back the stolen and occupied lands to their righteous owners” – Rafael_49
Pfftt!
The rightful owners already occupy the land.
Listen, when you start a war and lose you have to accept the outcome, no do-overs.
Israel was the victor, they get the land.
Get over it.

Noz | Sep 19, 2009 9:18:53 AM – By your (ill)logic the one with the bigger stick and barbarian altitude is the righteous one. This is exactly the way of thinking of the gangsters and members of the gangster nations. Looks like the ignorance is the only thing thriving in the tralaland called the US of A!

Ahmadinejad continues the myth:
‘Palestinians’ claim to be from the Philistines, therefore, they concluded, that they are the First People in Israel.
However, they are deleting one fact: they do have something in common. The meaning of Philistines is “pelesh”…”divider”; “invaders”.
The Philistines came from Crete, the Aegean Islands and Asia Minor called the sea people.
If Ahmadinejad wants to continue to believe that the Palestinians are direct descendents of the Philistines, then they should be fighting for the Isle of Crete from Greece.
Palestinians, however, are not the Philistines.
If the Palestinians want to return to their ‘home-land’, then they need to return to: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt, etc. These are their direct ancestors.
Jerusalem is one-tenth of one percent of the landmass. That’s too much for Ahmadinejad.
Some people in power desire their job to bring peace, prosperity, and harmony.
There are others in power who desire the opposite.
He won’t be happy until he has that one-tenth of that one percent.
Ahmadinejad does not belive in the Holocaust, so he probably rejects this doscumented history as well.

If we decide to send everybody back to wherever their ancestory came from, as far as we can tell, then we have to send the Jews back to slavery in Egypt, African-Americans back to Africa, and then all the Caucasian people back to Caucasus, leaving most of the world uninhabited and several areas populated like ant-hills. If you want to get really deep, then we have to find the garden of Eden, kill the angelic gaurd that God put there to keep us out, and then we can all live there! Is any of this logical?! NOT IN THE LEAST! If you look back at history, then you will know that right after Israel was declared its own country, Arab nations from all around attacked it and tried to destroy it. It fell back, lost ground, and then rapidly expanded, driving the Arabs out and taking a small amount of land as a buffer for next time. Now, the inhabitants of that small amount of land is shooting ROCKETS into CIVILIAN TARGETS, and Israel is in the wrong? Why can’t the Palestinians move out? In MUCH less then the time it take to flatten Jerusalem with bombs, they could have been gone. If they feel that strongly about sticking to their homeland, then they should just stick with Israeli rule, which as far as I’ve heard has not really wronged them.

Iran has shown what it is made of…..and it is pretty ugly.

It would be rather disappointing if Ahmadinejad’s scathing verbal attacks on archenemies Israel/Jews, and the west, were not accurate.
