Kanye West has finally stepped too far over the line to make it back. I am 100% not a fan anymore!! I never really liked him as a person (not that I know him) but his arrogance has always struck me as very childish. He comes across as someone who can’t let anyone have a moment he’s not a part of. And last night, he did it again. Know he wouldn’t win a darn thing and he might not be noticed for an entire show, he just had to get some face time…unfortunately at the expense of a sweet teen girl. Shame on him and I will NEVER buy his music again!!! He’s a jerk!!

He is a such a small, hapless thinker. So reactive—acts just like a baby or a spoiled child. You have to wonder why he is allowed to be such a jerk? He’s not someone I want to hear anymore because all I can see is how he damages anything he is near or touches. Let’s boycott this guy for awhile and for god’s sake, let’s not allow him near any microphone–his rants are so boring.

And the most messed up part, was that the VMA’s this year were dedicated to Michael Jackson, his music, his lifetime, his death. His family was there. But, since he doesnt have all attention on him, and he has nothing going on right now, Kayne decided to pull that stupid stunt in front of the world watching the VMA’s and Michael’s family. I’m not a fan anymore. His antics have gone too far this time. Its too late for sorry. He shouldnt be allowed to any award shows for now on. Good going, idiot. Your losing fans.

I do however, keep up with the news and certainly know these artists today! They say “there is no great loss without some small gain,” today I purchased Taylor Swift music video on i-tunes.

In Spite of MTV’s efforts, the voice of a teenage country girl won out. And THAT is more than the ego of a spolied brat like Kanye West can stand. After all, in his mind, MTV is his sand lot and he gets to decide who plays in it!
In my opinion, MTV owes the public an apology just as much as kanye owes Taylor Swift a sincere one.

Last May, a student with a mental handicap received a piano award in the adult program of a major conservatory which I was expected to win. I had no doubt I “should” have won based on technique and musicianship.
When his name was announced, I was the first one who stood and applauded. Nothing else occurred to me. I’ve won musicianship awards in the past – what kind of jerk would I be to diminish that guy’s one shining moment?
Well, I guess I now know what kind of jerk – a Kanye West.

Perfect example of what happens when someone successful lacks balance in his/her life. Always acting on emotion and disregarding common sense. There is a time and place for comments and persional opinions. Taylor’s winning was was not her decision yet Mr. West took it out on her and robbed her of a once in a lifetime moment. Though she will probable win more moonmen in throughout her carrer, nothing beats winning your first. Way to be a role model and way to show class “Dropout”. He should be ashamed of himself. Kudos to Beyonce for showing lots of class, proffessionalism, and appreciation to other great artists.

Anyone who was at Bonnaroo 2008 and waited all night for him to do his 6 hour late show, demanding the performances going on at stages around him stop so they wouldn’t interfere with his “music” knows what a creep this guy is. He didn’t even apologize or offer an explanation to the fans. He really made his mark on Bonnaroo. They are still scrubbing the “Kanye S**ks” graffiti off of the portapotties and fences.

Kanye’s rudeness is unacceptable to me, but many young people find rudeness to be quite “cool”. I should know—I teach high school English. Manners have let the building.

Kanye has proven himself to be a coward, a bully, and a man with no class. Had the category included male vocalists, I doubt seriously he would have stepped on stage; mainly because he would have received a beat down. No, he chose a 19 year old girl to steal from…yes steal. Praying on someone who is obviously not as strong as him makes him a bully as well. Had the lead singer from Metalica been accepting the award (if the category allowed for it) no way Kanye steps on stage. Nope, a 19 year old girl was his victim. He is a bully.
Not all of us agree with who is selected to win, but we accept their victory with grace and courtesy, much like Beyonce, because we know enough people liked their talents to grant them an award. This is called “class”…something Kanye is seriously lacking.
Worse than all of the above is the implied racial undertones of what he did, and his implied statement that Taylor won because she is white. Had the winner been an African American female artist, I have no doubt that Kanye’s butt stays in his seat. He has used forums like this in the past to post judgement or play the race card, and his display at the VMA is the very same sort of poison he has been spewing for years.
His talent is eclipsed by his bad behavior, and he should be banned from ever having a public stage to use as his own platform of hatred. Make no mistake, what happened to Taylor was because of her skin color not because of her video. Beyonce on the other hand is Kanye’s antithesis. She was as much a victim as Taylor and both ladies handled themselves with dignity and grace. Kanye could use a few lessons from both of these women.

There is a time and a place for registering one’s disapproval of an award. Interrupting a young woman in the middle of her acceptance speech isn’t that time. I think Kanye West needs to check into rehab, because he’s got anger management issues, alcohol issues, racial issues, insecurity issues, or some combination of these.
Taylor and Beyonce behaved like two refined and polite young women. Taylor showed poise and composure and Beyonce showed grace, generosity, and empathy.
Kanye was just plain boorish.
MTV needs to control who can and cannot get on stage or their awards shows will become free-for-alls where anyone can get up and say anything at the most inopportune moments.
My heart goes out to Taylor. She’s a sweet young lady and she deserves better than to have her moment trampled upon like that.

I was appalled at Kanye’s behavior on Sunday nite. However, in the back of my mind I knew something was desperately wrong with him emotionally. He is a young man in pain. It seems that he has had a tremendous amount of trauma in his life. I believe his pent up grief over his mother’s death which he acknowledged on Leno’s show last night is really the straw that is breaking the camel’s back. He realizes that he needs some time off. I hope he takes it. I pray he gets professional help. I also hope that all of us will learn to think twice before we judge. You can not tell a book by looking at its cover.
