Sarah Palin Abroad
Sarah Palin is on the road. She was in Hong Kong today, speaking to a group of investors. We are not sure how much she was paid for the talk but we do have a sense of what she said.
"I'm going to call it like I see it and I will share with you candidly a view right from Main Street, Main Street U.S.A." Palin reportedly remarked.
That included what she sees as main street’s discomfort with some of the health care reform being proposed these days. The former vice presidential candidate also took to task the Federal Reserve for the historic strong hand it took in the economy.
This was her first major appearance after resigning from Governor of Alaska.

First, the title says it all, but shouldn’t the letter “a” be separate from the rest of the word??
Second, why is this news? Did you report everything John Edwards did after that election? How about Joe Lieberman? I don’t understand why this person is so newsworthy. She has nothing relative to say. She’s a loser that quits everything she starts. Frankly, I’m surprised she even showed up given she didn’t know Africa was a continent! Somebody must have taken her to Hong Kong!!

zee, perhaps if you were not so closed minded and consented to listen, you might learn something even if you disagree with her on her principals. Its called democracy and when the far left attempts to stifle speech it doesn’t want to hear even the far left eventually is diminished by those attempts.

I read the WSJ, Bloomberg, and AP stories on Ms Palin’s speech. It seemend to me that she didn’t understand that Hong Kong was part of the PRC?
The WSJ article had this quote. “We have much in common with Hong Kong. We’re both young and transient, independent and libertarian. Places that continue to show the world, the power and the resilience of the free market system at a time when too many are questioning it. So for Alaska, which is the air crossroads of the world, to this prosperous dynamic force in the world, Hong Kong, I bring good tidings, wishes for more blessing and vibrant life and even more freedom.”
Also, if she is so freedom loving and guardian of “Main Street USA”, why no reporters?

Sarah Palin has gone overseas to show how truly ignorant she is. That woman never learns!
Posted by: ohyeah! | September 23, 2009, 2:08 pm 2:08 pm
THIS WOMAN HAS THE FEELING SHE SPEAKS FOR THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS SO SHE USES THE WORD “WE” A LOT. DOES SHE HAVE A MOUSE IN HER POCKET?

To j0112, I have many conservative friends and acquaintences with whom I’ve had spirited discussions over the past year. . .so I am open to other points of view. It just seems to me that Sarah Palin’s mind is closed for repairs. The things she does say are so outlandish that I can’t believe that anyone would believe them. I am convinced that the only people who do belive her have not learned “criticle thinking” and would just rather let a dimwit speak for them instead of fact checking themselves!

Palin slagged the USA and the president. She is ignorant and treasonous.
She is part of the lunatic fringe, a minority that strongely feels it is a majority. The Republicans are finished if she continues to represent them. She quit her governorship of Guam, which leaves her aa a former mayor of a meth ridden strip mall called Wasilla.

Palin is a ‘wack job’. no brains, can’t even finish her govenors post (probably because she under investigation for billing out personal expenses as state expenses and billing poor Mc Cain for wardsrobes for her whole family to his campaign and was caught red handed. She nothing more than a thief in wolves clothing.

People Why do you’ll hate so much.People will believe anybody these day..Look at all the ones that believe in change so if people want to believe her let them. No one tells you anything about believing in change…

She should shut her mouth already and just get on In life…

Personally, I think Sarah Palin ought to stay at home and take care of her family. I don’t really care what she has to say because she is not savvy on most, if not all, topics. Give us a rest with her rabble rousing!

Sarah Palin is definitely a broad but that won’t get her to Washington in the fashion that she would like, and besides she seems to find public life just too much troublesome. She’s nothing more than John McCain’s last ditch effort to find a vice president when there really wasn’t anyone to choose from in the first place.

I am totally thrilled that a soccer mom like Sarah can travel overseas. Maybe she will find a better home in another land. I hope so.

If she thinks Hong Kong is independent and libertarian, she must still think she can see Russia from her front porch. Has she no intelligent advisers to correct her geographic and political ignorance?

Wonder what she paid them to let her come entertain them? She need more publicity and is trying all sorts of things to keep her name in the news. She is uneducated, illiterate, narcistic, unethical, dishonest, scheeming, and a disgrace to women everywhere and to all Americans. Our friends in Europe laugh at her even more than we do.

Some lib. and haters you are not worthy to be her students, don’t show your big “ego”.

Sarah’s speech was excellent…Again obama disappoints with his weak,sniveling,Anti-American,Anti-Israel nonsense…Tell me again why America voted for this dunce…
Posted by: robert m. simon | September 23, 2009, 8:38 pm 8:38 pm
The reason America is in the mess we are in is because America listened to a fool like Oprah and elected Obama and Biden, two misguided fools if ever there were.Sarah shows exceptional common sense.I guess that’s why the Left doesn’t “get her”…..oh but they will…they will….:)

She sure can’t do any worse than the goof whe is in the office right now! It would be a safe bet to assume that at least she won’t allow our country to be subjugated by another. And definetly not take away our RIGHT to self defense

I think it was reported elsewhere that this group chooses not to have press present. If that is so, it wasn’t Palin’s choice.
She certainly pushes some people’s buttons, just as the President pushes the buttons of others. Racist? I don’t think so.

ms. palin,
you are getting old and weird! please, just go away!!!!!
Posted by: mark | September 23, 2009, 9:14 pm 9:14 pm
Call me screwy but she amuses the heck out of me. Whatever she can do to drum up business for her State of Alaska is not a far cry different from what we would do for our own states, is it? She doesn’t speak for America but if she wants to be a spokesperson than she definitely is getting her feet wet. There is no harm in that, and I believe too many people overreact for little reason. In this case Ms. Palin has her supporters and detractors. Sounds like a typical politician’s life to me, how about you?
Posted by: JR Jake | September 23, 2009, 9:28 pm 9:28 pm
Sounds to me like she’s purposely drumming up American hate.

BTW, It WAS Palin´s choice. The speaker gets to choose whether press can cover their speech or not. Palin was asked and declined. It was CLOSED by her choice.
SHE SPOKE ABOUT HOW MUCH SHE LOVES FREEDOM ALSO TOO, so blocking the press was a curious choice.

I wonder how Beijing likes her?

Who’s idea was it to send her over to Hong Kong AND open her mouth? She is a poor excuse for a representative for “Main Street” USA AND women!!!!!

Is it just me or I thought President Palin stopped politrix??
Posted by: Constant Gina | September 24, 2009, 1:41 pm 1:41 pm
I keep hearing people say how dumb she is despite evidence to suggest she is at least as smart as the avg politician…and certainly smarter than most ..because the majority of politicians in Washignton today don;t know how to balance a checkbook..at least that what it seems like with all the defecit spending going on. Now, who’s really dumb again?

I love her independence, her strength and her femininity…she is a strong and passionate women and a good mother and wife. I like Palin, she is a true trooper and lover of our country and would lead us into total freedom and justice…

It WAS palin´s choice not have press present. The speaker gets to call it.
Palin said in her speech she LIKE freedom, but no freedom of the press PLEASE.

check it out. she did a better job for the state of Alsaka and its citizens in two short years than those who had run it for 25 years. you either don’t know what you are saying or being used to say what you had said about her. she was right when she said ” only dead fish go with the flow “
