This would not be nearly as big of an offense if France did not experience racial riots from people of African descent only a few years ago. There are plenty of black models in the world but they failed to want to hire any of them. This is a matter of racial insensitivity and fairness.

since the french did not practice slavery for several hundred years, did not have jim crow laws and did not invent the vaudville acts that were performed in black face, they have nothing to feel guilt or shame about. i see black entertainers in white face all of the time. it just makes me think how ugly american society is and how we all really dislike each other regardless of the rhetoric that we produce for foreign audiences. the japanese have a portion of their population that are reggae and rasta followers and they grow dreads and die their skin dark brown. i see no offense in this and think its funny. just because america has its dirty guilt complexes from its inhuman behavior, thank god america does not rule the world.

When will the world get over this black thing. Sheesh it’s a skin color and we all bleed the same color of blood.Blacks in america are americans not black african americans because they didn’t come from africa unless they have traveled to live here,then they can proclaim they are actually black africans.Their ancestors are the true africans,whom many wounded up her not by choice.I don’t care what race you are if you live in america,your american along with your race,but that doesn’t mean your a vietnames american or a mexican american,your just american with a race. If that doesn’t make sense to some of you then you need to learn to be an american and not worrying about what your darned skin color is.But be proud of who your are ethnic wise as an american ok.
I’m an american indian,but i don’t go around saying that i’m indian i say i’m american first then Human,then Indian. Ok so let the argument begin lol.

Julie W….Since I live in Europe, Luxembourg to be spicific, I am very familiar with French Vogue. And there are plenty of black models. They are not suffering as you claims. However, I have noticed that there are not enough Asian models.
