Letterman, the Law & Sexual Harrasment

It was an issue raised here in an earlier blog.  David Letterman's announcement last night that he had sexual relations with females on his staff raises questions.  While it is not illegal for consenting adults to have relations, what about when a boss sleeps with a subordinate?  Is it sexual harassment?  Some today have argued that it is.  One lawyer today said that "any situation when one person has power over another there is the potential for coercion."

Today Worldwide Pants released this statement:

"We have a written policy in our employee manual that covers harassment.  It is circulated to every employee every year.  Dave is not in violation of our policy and no one has ever raised a complaint against him."
