Obama and Health Care: What Do the Latest Poll Numbers Reveal?

The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll takes a close look at Obama's push for health care reform.  Nine months into office, how well has the President done when it comes to convincing Americans that his health care plan is a good choice?  To see exactly how the numbers breakdown and the complete results of the poll, CLICK HERE.

The poll doesn’t mean anything – the only people surprised that the public option is (still, like in every other poll to date) popular are those who believe Republican’s smears (a quickly shrinking demographic). The real question is how many Democratic senators the health insurance companies can afford to buy after paying so much for the Republican party.

Do you honestly think we believe a poll by ABC and The Washington Post??? It’s funny every other poll shows more people oppose health reform than approve it.

That the Denmocrats will shoot themselves in the foot if they fail to deliver a PO

I have been a registered voter for 31 years and have not missed an election. Who does these polls I have never been contacted.

I am laughing at this story. I truly would love to see the data of this poll. Believe your polls. I dare you.

ABC has lost it’s mind. I have talked to so many, many people and can not even find one that admits voting for Obama. You guys need to have a reality check and take a closer look at your voters. One thing to date, we still have is our voice and our vote and election is coming up soon. obama has to get over himself and so do you. Enough of this dog squeeze is enough already.

1st comes denial then the depression. Watch out!

This poll is yet another hoax! Nobody would believe this. The Public hates the Healthcare Bill and are extremely upset with President Obama and his Socialist Policies

Anita Dunn admitted the WH controls the media. So why would anyone believe this poll? If you believe this poll I have a some property to sell you in Cuba.

There is no way this poll can be credible. Take a look at the Rasmussen poll that has Obama differing plans falling weekly. The latest showing only 42% favor, and 54 oppose….Down two points from last week. Looks like ABC is still running infomercials for the White House….But, let the dems go ahead and pass this using reconciliation, and we’ll see how they fair in 2010…

Don’t forget the deficit is $1.4 trillion and the debt is near $12 trillion and expected to double in ten years.
The deficit and debt are the CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER of this nation. If you look at “nanny states” that have over-promised on healthcare you will see lines forming for surgery and necessary care!
Obama’s approval rating seems suspiciously close to the number that don’t pay taxes. Scary?

I picked this up from a CBS webpage:
“You’ve got a larger and larger share of people paying less and less for the services provided by the federal government,” says Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center. “The concern is that the majority can say, ‘Let’s have more benefits, spend more,’ if they’re not paying for it. It’s ‘free.’ That’s not a good thing to have.”
These benefit suckers would be in the Obama camp

I oppose. ABC and the networks are government run news agencies. They can’t be trusted. If the Democrats get all the handouts they seek and Obuma seeks I will join the ranks of the lazy with my hand out. You won’t find me paying your bills you losers.

Hurry up and pass the bill so we can get moving on Obama’s next push~ Free Escalades and government sponsored free weed. Go Obama, you leader of reverse evolution you! We love your vision of The United States of Insanity!

Go and be a good news organization like the administration said this Sunday you need to be. You are going to be forced eventually into reporting on Fox’s news stories a week later when it no longer matters.

Here’s what we know….the cost of health care cannot continue as it currently exists. We MUST allow new ideas to come forward.
I live in a community that will support realistic reform…BUT NEVER spend money on what doesn’t have legs to make a difference…realize this is an oxymoron.
Making health care more affordable is the most IMMEDIATE need of our nation!
Keep going! This is from a demographic that significantly has the muscle to make a difference….but won’t do it before its right.

Gee – ABCNEWS polls all of it’s liberal viewers- and comes up with a poll favoring the public option… what a hoot.. I prefer to go with rassmussen, or any of the other polls that are not from a biased media channel. (I don’t go for Fox’s polls etiher). Per Rassmussen – reverse these polling numbers and you have a more accurate picture… What do you people think all of the seniors, students, etc are angry about? Heck – even the unions are figuring out that both the baucus and public option will scr*w them as they either lose their cadillac plan, or they get taxed heavily on it – or both.

Your poll numbers are a joke and most people know it. ABC NEW POLL.hahahahah what a joke. You have lost any credibility you have ever had long ago. You people are too dumb or too arrogant to understand why most real, working americans no longer listen to you.

To all people bashing ABC:
What news channel do you watch? Fox News? I can assure you that they are more biased than ABC.
I don’t even watch American media anymore, I stick to BBC for honest reporting when I’m not with my dad.
The point is, if your source for information is a cable news network or a biased website, you are going to get biased information.
How about actually reading the finance committee bill? The media has been bought by big business since the 70′s and is no longer reliable. You have to find out stuff for yourself.
ALL of you are rehashing the words of others. Come up with your own opinion.

Hozer, you have a good idea about watching different news shows, but you’re off on the Finance Committee. They first came out with a number that showed just what a boon-doggle Obamacare would be, but after a talk in the woodshed with Obama they changed their figures.
Plus, there is no health care bill. It doesn’t exist. Just ask someone to show you the health care bill that will be voted on. It won’t be possible because the Democrats intend to write the Bill as they go, and then use the nuclear option to shove it down Americans’ thoats.
Apparently the Congress and Senate are going along with Obama in their actions. I thought that the politicians in Washington were supposed to represent the will of the people. The PEOPLE DON’T WANT OBAMACARE, but what he Hell, that doesn’t make any difference to Democrats.
The best thing that will come out of Obamacare beng forced on the people is that ANY politician who votes for it, Democrat or Republican, will be looking for a new job after the 2010 elections.
One after-thought, what can you expect from an ABC poll that uses A.C.O.R.N. as it’s polling place?

It’s interesting that the ABC/Washington Post polls show such a vast difference from the polls conducted by Rasmussen. For the comparison, see:
It shows that today’s Obama approval index is at -12.

Interesting that the only polls showing support of healthcare public optioin are ABC and Washington Post. Gingrich is right in questoining these results. Public Option is a cruel joke on the those that believe the Kool-Aid. Congress finally realized they can’t cut docotrs’ reimbursements and now want to borrow $300 billion and drop those provisions (another bribe). The PO is bad and will certainly change healthcare as we know it – really bad news.
