Quotes of the Day
“This marks more than the disconnect between definitions of recession; it also points to the land mines that pockmark the political landscape, threatening potential woe to President Obama in particular and incumbent office-holders in general. Claims of a recovery that few people feel are fraught with the taint of disconnect.” – ABC News Polling Director Gary Langer, on his latest work, which finds that eight in ten Americans have felt evidence of an economic recovery
“We don’t have a big enough party to be throwing people overboard.” – Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, on fissures within the GOP

Can somebody tell me the reason why we can’t bring back the manufacturing jobs that we sent to other countries?
I’m sure there’s a complicated explanation, but I know we can accomplish this if we wanted to.
Regarding the GOP: if you want to keep relevent, you need to not say “no” to everything. You don’t need to point out every flaw of this White House. People are not stupid; they can figure it out on their own.
Hope floats, but so does other stuff.
People know the difference all on their own. That’s a better strategy.

Dearest friend ddg,
It takes both a republicaN and a demOcrat to spell the word NO.
Maybe we need a Wigg party so that we can spell out NOW.

Don’t be hasty, Admiral. Perhaps Noz is imagining a party of individuals who can’t spell and wear hair that doesn’t grow from their head.

Chavez called Obama an “Ignoramus”.
So, I suppose Noz is in good company (or bad company – it all depends on what side of the fence you’re on.)
I’m sure Pres. Obama did not blink an eye when Chavez called him a name.
You have to consider the source.
