Report: Michael Vick & Nike Are Patching Things Up
Is Michael Vick back? Really back?
Yes he was on the field for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. But what about sponsors?
The Associated Press is reporting that Vick and the crown jewel of sports sponsors, Nike, are patching things up. Last night the player's agent said, "Mike has a long-standing, great relationship with Nike, and he looks forward to continuing that relationship."
Vick served 18 months in prison after admitting to dog fighting and gambling. At the time Nike described their pitchman's behavior as "inhumane, abhorrent and unacceptable."

Pfffttt!
I guess time heals all wounds, ha ha.
Or perhaps Nike really really really didn’t mean what they said in their statement since they are patching things up with Vick.
Or maybe, just maybe Nike doesn’t ever sell much to dog lovers so they really really don’t care.
Or maybe the people running Nike have no souls or values.
Or maybe . . . . .

That’s so very disappointing.

TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE AN E-MAIL TO NIKE
AND EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS, I DID WHAT
A SHORT MEMORY THEY HAVE

I emailed Nike this morning and received a reply stating that;
Thank you for your email. Nike does not have a contractual relationship with Michael Vick. We have agreed to supply product to Michael Vick as we do a number of athletes who are not under contract with Nike.
So basically, they are giving him free swag.

It’s all about the bottom line. Nike is counting on us all having short memories but we’ll see how short their memory is when their bottom line is impacted again. Boycott Nike!!

Nike may a short memory, but my animal loving friends and I have very, very long ones. If they renew the contract with Michael Vick, they will hear about it from a lot of people.
I believe in giving people a second chance, but don’t believe that Vick has fully paid for his crimes.
Time will tell.

If Nike pays Michael Vick for any type of promotion whatsoever, I will never buy another Nike product for myslef or any member of my family. Period.

Nike’s all about the bottom line – that IS their ‘ethics’. Weren’t they using child labor? So why would they care about dogs?

I will NEVER EVER purchase a Nike product if they sponsor Vick. He is truly a monster.

Vick is a monster. As an avid runner I am throwing out my Nike’s and will NEVER buy another Nike product. Nike supports dog fighting. Nike, you are morally bankrupt! I hope you go financially bankrupt as well.

I will never buy anything Nike again if they go through with this insult to us dog lovers and animal lovers alike. Vick probably is back doing what he does best, and that is making money, no matter what the cost. People, watch your dogs carefully, he might be after yours next.

I dropped my football package and I will drop Nike too. Bah Bye!

Hey — As an animal rescuer, I wouldn’t mind Nike giving Vick a contract — WITH THIS STIPULATION — Every penny goes to Animal Rescue Groups and to the U.S. Humane Society and the National ASPCA and World Wildlife Foundation. Otherwise — no more Nike for me or my family!!!

So Nike, let see if this is right, you do not care about Morals, Values and losing a lot of customers.
But you do care about the almighty $$$$$ though, and anyway you can get it.I can see it now, Nike & Vick will donate part of their 7 digit profits to the humane society so all will be forgiven…..
Is that about right Nike? Do you really think Vick has seperated himself from his old gang and their ways? BS, he will be right back and I would bet he is already involved in something else illegal..that is why he is smiling on TV right now, out and getting rich all over again…
People really need to thank Nike & The Eagles for funding this *(^%!@

So…Looks like Nike isn’t sponsoring Vick after all. Blah blah blah. It’s so funny how everyone just assumes what the media says is true…Nike is very concerned about it’s image. Do some research and don’t just blindly spit out things you can only assume you know something about.
