The Harvard Professor & Cambridge Officer Go for Second Round

There is word today from Boston that the famed professor and Cambridge police officer have gotten together for a second round.  A local TV station reports that Harvard’s Henry Louis Gates and Sgt. James Crowley were seen hanging at a local pub.  You’ll recall the racially charged altercation the two found themselves in over the summer which led to a brew at the White House.  This time it was River Gods pub.  No word on the beer of choice.

well, gee, i hope it was the prof who asked the cop out. He really owes that first responder more than a couple of beers. But, in any case, i really hope something good develops between the two guys, even if it is just talking about the Celtics.

This is a nice development, that both managed to put aside the past. Perhaps it says something positive about Obama’s initiative as well.

One is still a racist. The other is known by his company. The Officer is demeaning his Character by association.

Let us hope that some friendly discussion took place.

Well it’s heartwarming to see that one of them was able to put his racist tendencies behind him and have a beer with the other man.
