ABC News “Nightline’s” Weekly Half Hour Digital Program Begins Airing on Ustream on Monday, November 16th

New Initiative Expands “Nightline’s” Popular Digital Presence

 

ABC News “Nightline” is expanding its popular digital presence by broadcasting its half-hour digital program, “NightTline” on Ustream, a live interactive broadcasting platform on the web.  Beginning today, viewers will be able to watch the Twittercast, a half-hour program that airs Mondays at 12:30pm EST at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nightline-twittercast. The “Nightline” Twittercast  is hosted by the program’s anchors and correspondents, providing a forum for viewers to simultaneously discuss and debate the news of the day. “NightTline” already can be viewed on the “Nightline” page at ABCNEWS.com and ABC News Now, the network’s 24-hour digital channel.

The topic for Monday’s Twittercast will be “Do We Need Tougher Gun Control Laws?” in light of the recent tragedy at Fort Hood and subsequent shootings in Orlando the following day. The participants include: Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and Jacob Hornberger, author of “The Tyranny of Gun Control,” who believes gun control rights should not be limited
