Going Rogue, Selling High
ABC's Bradley Blackburn from New York:
Sales figures are out for Sarah Palin’s memoir, Going Rogue. In its first week on store shelves, the book sold 700,000 copies, according to publisher HarperCollins. That’s enough to put it high atop the week’s bestseller lists.
For comparison, Hillary Clinton’s memoir sold just over 600,000 copies in its first week on sale back in 2004.
The NY Post points out that while most of the sales have come from the nation’s heartland, Going Rouge is selling well in some unlikely places – 21,000 copies were sold in the New York City metropolitan area. That figure alone would be enough to land on the bestseller list some weeks.
Did you pick up a copy? And have you read it?

Going ROUGE? That’s funny! Especially when you know “rouge” is the word the french use for lipstick… The Pitbull is back!

Dear Bradley Blackburn, you are really ignorant. If you had done your homework before putting up this article, you would have found that Bill Clinton’s book “My Life” sold more than 900,000 copies in its first week. Though why you feel the need to compare the former president to the ex governor of Alaska is beyond me. Don’t you have an editor to review your articles?

This is why you and all the other lame stream media are falling into the ratings abys.

I love Sarah Palin and family and am so very happy she is telling what really happened. She is a kind, warmhearted, smart lady who will make a tremendous impact on the political landscape – either in front or behind the scene.
She stands up for our soldiers and intelligence agents. The fact that CIA agents are being tried for allegedly giving that animal a fat lip in addition to the circus preparing to come down in NY is a disgrace to our nation and to President Obama. Is there no common sense left in Washington?
Posted by: Brenda | November 27, 2009, 3:32 am 3:32 am
No one ever said Sarah isn’t a pleasant and interesting person, and very attractive also. Simply she is not White House material. Not at this point in her life, anyway. If all those people who do not like President Obama want to see him go in 2012 they better start grooming someone NOW!Simply put, they can’t run this woman in 2012, or Obama will be in for four more.

At least she is doing something that brings tax revenue in to pay for other people’s freebies. Maybe some of you can get in line and plead for a free book.

I believe the word ‘rouge’ means ‘red.
example: Baton Rouge means ‘red stick’.
This info is for the first comment above
(treblig56 comment).
The title, of course, to Palin’s book
is: “Going Rogue”. (not rouge) She’s not going “red”.
Rogue could mean “criminal” or just as simple as “off the beaten path of convention”.
It depends on how you feel about Palin.
I don’t believe Palin cares how you feel about her. She’s making her money.
I say, “Go for it” to anyone who has the ability to do so.
Has Pres. Obama counted the jobs created or saved by Palin (by her creating this book?)
Obama counted “nine pairs of boots” as “nine jobs created”.
So, did Palin create 700,000 jobs that first week?

The design of will is the mind of all minds across the lines of integrity, the ideal of Sara and Hillary working as family is the fine tune brush of will you ever see the light of day among the likes of cornal stallings across the red carpet?

The lib reviewers had this book, I wonder why they think Hillary was ‘honest’ while Sarah couldn’t possibly be true, honest, or relevant… nearly a million people seem to feel differently.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition of Rogue; 1. Vagrant, Tramp 2.a dishonest or worthless person 3. a mischievous person. 4. a horse inclined to shirk or misbehave 5. an individual exhibiting a chance and usually inferior biological variation. FUNNY!

FYI: Rogue also means behavior that causes discomfort in others.
She questions the democrats, and, apparently, democrats are not comfortable with this.
Is it okay for people to infer that Mrs. Palin is a “tramp” or an “inferior bilogical variation”?
Because if it is, then all bets are off.
I’ll remember this the next time I want to write a response.
(I’m referring to Clark’s response.)

Sometimes when a person goes off the beaten path, that person may step in something that you might not want to step in. The beaten path usually shows you the way home.
On the other hand, change is the law of life. Change can be good and will always be with us. It’s bigger than any of us – including all of the Palin’s and Obama’s alike.

I am a french-speaking man. I do know rouge means red, it is also a shortcut for “rouge à lèvres” – red for lips litterally – meaning lipstick, and used in France mostly. Thanks for teaching me my own language! ;-)

All the comments about “libs” squirming would be comical if they werent absurd. Palin’s “questioning” of democrat and moderate Republication positions is so flimsy that it all comes down to worn out and now utterly useless phrases like “lower taxes”, “less government”, etc.. The “cons” need to get a grip, their time has past, the country, and the world, cant afford to indulge them anymore….

I commented because the title of Mrs. Palin’s book is “Going ROGUE”
NOT “ROUGE”.
Read YOUR first comment and you will see that you wrote “rouge” = “red”.
I wasn’t trying to give a French lesson, but rather correcting the title of Palin’s book. You wrote something about it being funny. It would be funny if that was indeed the name.

It’s getting harder and harder to defend Palin from harsh comments.
The title alone is somewhat silly.
“Rogue” does remind you of “Rouge”.
Either way, it’s stupid.
There! I said it, treblig.
Palin will never be President. I don’t see it happening.
If the “real” conservatives, as yourself, separate from the “moderates”, you will be very lonely. The moderates and independents will ban together.
I can guarantee you.
I’ll go one step further. I’d rather see a democrat win if someone like Palin gets the nomination.
Also, Mr. Incredible, if you don’t know that change happens ALL of the time, then you must keep your head in the sand. Maybe that’s what attracts people to Palin. She wants to move forward, but there’s one problem.
She’s facing backwards. Her forward is the l950′s.

==It’s getting harder and harder to defend Palin from harsh comments.==
It’s the comments against her that are most difficult to defned.
==The title alone is somewhat silly.==
Be sure not to buy the book.
==”Rogue” does remind you of “Rouge”.==
No, it reminds YOU, not me.
==Either way, it’s stupid.==
Again, save yourself the pain; don’t buy the book. Look away when you encounter it.
==Palin will never be President.==
Who says?
== I don’t see it happening. ==
I’m sure she’ll take that into consideration.
==If the “real” conservatives, as yourself, separate from the “moderates”, you will be very lonely.==
That’s not what’s happening, though.
== The moderates and independents will ban [sic] together.==
However, they won’t make the mistake of last November. They realize that a mistake is what they made, and they will correct that mistake next time and the time after.
==I’d rather see a democrat win if someone like Palin gets the nomination.==
Then, you’ll have what you got now, and worse. You’ll have worse with a Dem than you will if you have Palin. This is what those who wanted to punish Republicans last time found out.
==…if you don’t know that change happens ALL of the time, then you must keep your head in the sand.==
Define “change.” What “changes” “all the time”?
== Maybe that’s what attracts people to Palin. She wants to move forward, but there’s one problem.
She’s facing backwards.==
According to whose perspective?
== Her forward is the l950′s [sic]. ==
Assertions are easy. Prove that “her forward is the 1950s.”

And do what? Vote Democrat again and get what they got last November??? They’re not gonna make THAT mistake again.
By the way…
Palin’s book is number one on NYT Best Seller List.

Let’s see – 300+ million people in U.S. and Palin sells 700,000 in first week. Wow – stop the presses!!! Oh, and the only thing high this week is Palin herself. Her bus tour turns out to be a sham just like the woman herself. While it’s making it’s way across country fooling the ‘real Americans’, her and family are travelling on a nice luxury jet paid for by Samaritan’s Purse. You betcha!

That is, if what they say is BS, and it isn’t. It’s BS that got this guy elected and get him and Democrats unelected.
Except you and the other 20 percent.
—————————–
Over the years, the electorate has been split up 20/20/20. This time, independents are swinging Conservate, and that means, for the most part, Republican once the Republican Party realizes their base is Conservative and swings more THAT way. That’s the trend — independents trending toward Conservate and Republican — and, as Congress comes closer on a health care bill that nobody wants, more and more independents will c’mon ove-a, leavin’ you with yo’ 20%.

==Looking forward to it, Mr. Incredible. But after the polls taken on your party, are you?==
ABSOLUTELY!
The polls are showing that — given what is now clear as the mistake of ’08, that indpendents and disgruntled Republicans who voted for this guy and other Dems just to punish Republicans — the trend is away from Dems, and, if given the choice between Republican and Democrat — with a bad situation getting worse cuz-a this dude’s policies — the 20% Republicans and nearly 20% independents will turn Congress back to Conservative Republicans and will be chompin’ at the bit to put a Conservative Republican in The White House, if only just to preclude a Democrat from getting there.
Change is comin’, all right!

Sahar Palin is George Bush with a female genitalia. You people have lost your minds if you think that she is anything more than a blathering idiot. I am leaving the Republican Party because of Palin. McCain should of just handed the keys to the White House to President Obama when he picked this idiot. His other option proved that he was incapable of making rational decisions. Joe Liberal Liberman. Seriously, this is just crazy. McCain needs to just fade away.
