Justice Sotomayor Wanted to Back Out From Consideration

ABC’s Dennis Powell reports from Washington: In the soon to be released (November 17) issue of Latina Magazine, Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor is reported to have told a friend she was leery about losing her privacy and wanted to withdraw her name from the nomination. The article was written by her close friend Sandra Guzman, who is the former editor of the magazine. In the article lawyer Lee Llambelis tells her it’s not about you, “it's about the little girls and boys, brown and black, who live in the projects and poor communities around our nation, who can dream bigger if you are in the Supreme Court."  The new justice also graces the cover of the magazine in her black robe and fire red nails.

What Bull. Sotomayor had been angling and campaigning for that nomination for years and everybody knows it.
