Quotes of the Day: ‘President Obama has the information he wants… to make his decision’

"After completing a rigorous final meeting, President Obama has the information he wants and needs to make his decision and he will announce that decision within days." – White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, following the ninth and presumably final “war council” on sending additional U.S. forces to Afghanistan

“He reminds me of a chess grandmaster who has played his opening in six simultaneous games…But he hasn’t completed a single game and I’d like to see him finish one.” — Henry Kissinger, to columnist Roger Cohen

“This is really tough. I didn't anticipate being in this position. I thought it would pass. Maybe (Senator) Harry (Reid) has some magic up his sleeve. But I don't see how he gets those four votes…without compromising the bill.” — Howard Dean, to The Huffington Post

“No, no, not for me. Not for me, no. We had Senator Kennedy in our household, and — no, not for me.” — Vicki Kennedy to Oprah Winfrey, on whether she would ever run for Senate

“National security.” — David Axelrod to The Wall Street Journal, on why he doesn’t divulge President Obama’s golf scores

He’s had the information all along. He has simply been procrastinating, because he didn’t know what he wanted to do.

We need to give Karzai a deadline. He can get his army anyway he sees fit.
If he does not have the numbers now, he won’t get them later. It will be more difficult later on. Nobody will want to be in his army if they are getting wiped out everyday.
So, on that note, we need to secure Pakistan’s nukes (somehow). Convince Pakistan that if al qaeda gets a hold of these nukes, Pakistan will be in a place where others will want to attack them first.
After doing these tasks QUICKLY, we get our kids OUT of there.
What’s to think about? What piece of information did he really need? What part of that puzzle was missing? Really. Did something drastic change? These people are the same a thousand years ago, now, and a thousand years to come.
He procrastinated because he thought some fancy words would make a difference. I’m sure there was some secret meetings and things such as that.
Most of these people just want us to go away quickly.
I say, lets grant them that wish.

Has someone given Obama the memo regarding
the hackers who found out what a scam has
been going on regarding global warming?
Before he goes out anymore and makes an
a– of himself, some one ought to bring
him up to speed on this. I dare someone
to ask that dreadful press secretary
Obama’s reaction. I am sure Gibbs will
deflect any straight answer.

Could it be that he withheld a decision because his approval rating is dropping and he feared another drop (as this is sure to cause) would impact his other disasters such as “cap and trade” (in light of the UEA fraud disclosures) and healthcare?
Meanwhile we have troops in harm’s way while he shoots hoops.

Sounds like he’s going to send in more troops “to finish the job” – that’s what he said on tv. He wants to “smash al qaeda”.
Well, that’s good, but they will just pop up someplace else like roaches.
Why doesn’t he know that? It will stop them for awhile; new replacements will be put into place soon after.
Obama needs to pay attention to Pakistan’s nukes and deal with it now.
Remember, you heard it here, folks.
It doesn’t take a clairvoyant or a Secretary of State to know that.
If Obama, H. Clinton, and the gang don’t realize it, then they are not doing their job.

Two things:
Barack Obama meet Lyndon Johnson…Actual Johnson Quote: I believe we can continue the Great Society while we fight in Vietnam.
Lyndon B. Johnson
Peculiar wording in the title: Obama has information he WANTS to make decision. Is the information confirming what he already thought? Or is he polling like Clinton did?

Vicki Kennedy: She has the honesty and courage (it does take a kind of courage to decline) not to run for the Senate, a seat she is likely to win on symapthy for her late husband.
