As you may have learned on “Good Morning America,” the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has released its list of safest cars for 2010.

Nineteen cars and eight SUVs earned the Top Safety Pick award, which recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rear, and rollover crashes based on good ratings in the institute's tests. Winners also must have electronic stability control.
