What One Man 200 Miles Above Earth is Thankful For Today
What are you thankful for on this holiday. Our own Gina Sunseri had a chance to interview the crew of STS 129 aboard the International Space Station. She asked astronaut Randy Bresnik about the birth of a daughter this week while he was up in space.
Q: What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving and is your baby daughter as beautiful as her mom?
Randy Bresnik: Fortunately she is just as beautiful as her mother and if our daughter got her looks and her brains she will be okay, I am thankful for that. Just the timing of it all, God had the timing down pat we were fortunate enough to get an EVA out find out the baby was delivered safely, she is healthy, Rebecca is doing well, and then get to go out the door for another eva – the most amazing three days of my life so far. I just looking forward to getting home tomorrow and seeing her in person and I am also thankful for this crew for all the support and love we have gotten from them through this whole process.
