This morning, you saw the Abakua Afro-Latin Dance Company perform on "GMA" as part of our Warm Coats and Warm Hearts coat drive.

The dance company was founded in 2000 by Frankie Martinez with Aisha Koswara, the artistic director and choreographer.

The company comprises 7 dancers, including Martinez.
In addition to dance performance and education, Abakua also engages in charitable efforts throughout the year.

The dance company has performed all over the world. In 2010, Abakua's dancers will head to China, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
