ABC's Chuck Lustig reports from New York:

When United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon met with reporters today I am sure he knew he would be asked about the first part of the question below… but clearly he was not prepared for the second part of the question…

Can you comment on the detention by Thailand on Friday of a five man cargo crew with weapons from north Korea, which they say said was oil drilling equipment – this coming a month after un sanctions reports saying north Korea was violating sanctions by  selling weapons all over the world and I know you’re in the bldg 22 hrs a day working but you’re also an avid golfer- what is your reaction, are you disappointed at the world’s most famous athlete has withdrawn from playing golf at this time professionally?

Ban Ki-Moon:
I saw the reports um now – I sincerely hope that as the time authorities investigating uh they will soon uh report to the sec. council on the detailed information on that. Until such time uh uh I’m not in a position to make a comment on this but you should know that I’m very closely monitoring the situation this uh is sort of a very serious issues which uh all members of states united nations should cooperate with the security council resolution 1874.

And Woods, Tiger Woods?

Ban Ki-Moon:
Pardon? (Spokesman explains the reporter asking about Tiger Woods) — laughter erupts in the room

Ban Ki-Moon:
(Smiling)  I do not have any comment on that uh I do not know whether secretary general has anything to do with that kind of personal private matters (Smiling).
