Google Is Out With Some Lists!
EmailEveryone loves a good list. What were the fastest rising search terms of 2009? What were the terms and phrases that plummeted from their peak of popularity?
The top search – around the world – in 2009 was Michael Jackson. Lady Gaga shot up the list this year too. There were some surprises. In the US, interestingly the word “Glee” made the top risers. Assuming that’s the new TV show that is turning to gold any song the fictional high school glee club performs.
Fastest rising sports phrase: “real madrid”. Among the fastest falling searches is “wii” and “amy winehouse”. And there is evidence that we live in a very small world. Fastest rising search in Kenya this year? “facebook”. Take a read.

I hate these list. Every year I look to see if People has chosen me as their sexiest man alive, and every year I get crushed. Dang you Johnny Depp.
