It would seem hetersexual adultery is a much greater threat to the institution of marriage than same-sex marriage is.
It’s kind of ironic that straight Christians are more of a threat to marriage than gays are. Particularly those Christians who love to wear their religion as a garmemt for all to see like the Pharisees. After all, 50% of whose marriages end in divorce? Talk about a crap shoot!

what does heterosexual marriage or gay marriage have to do with this? this is plain old adultery – why are you playing that card?

in 1957 my then husband flew to Mexico, divorced me and married his soulmate, leaving me with 2 babies, an eviction notice, no health insurance, and 10 $10.00 bills. I do not remember any support from more than 1 or 2 people. I made it but it was harrowing. I am glad that we are waking up to the devastation that adultery causes.

Glad you made it, Muriel.
You have the satisfaction of knowing that you had the courage to continue without him. As for that guy, he had to go through his life remembering what he did – same for Sanford and Woods.

Why did it take her so long? I’ll bet she’s glad she dumped him. Onward and upward, good for her.

As Christians, we are taught to forgive. I am not a fan of Gov. Sanford but I think the wife should forgive him. “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. Divorce is not the best option. The Governor erred, we all know that but from statistics, second marriages do not always work out.

Jenny Sanford said that she did forgive him; however Gov. Sandford does not love his wife….they both need to move on. I am sure he’s headed for his “soulmate” as soon as these awful ten months are over.

Sexpot Sandford should have been impeached. Can you imagine how humiliating this is for his wife and family? He could give a care less!

If I were the governor of South Carolina and did what he did, my wife would have called her own press conference, and proudly held my testicles up for all to see.
