Pilots and Paws: Flying War Dogs Around America for Free

Steve Osunsami brings us a story tonight from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, about soldiers who have come back home from Afghanistan.  Upon their return to the U.S., these particular soldiers made sure to bring home a beloved puppy they adopted in the middle of the war zone.  Steve's report mentions a company that flies these war dogs around the country for free — the name of the organization is PilotsnPaws.  For more information, you can visit their website HERE.

I just loved the story, I was in tears. I thought what the pilots did was great. I wish that there was more people in the world like them. I don’t know what my life would be with out my pets. To see the faces of the soldiers when this little puppy found them was priceless. She kept them all going :)

Thank you Pilots N Paws for making my son Michael’s dream come true. Ally is such a wonderful dog and she is so happy with her new life here in America! We never thought it would be possible to rescue her from the war zone, but thanks to many people, we did it! Thank you everyone for your support!

Fabulous story. It’s what our soldiers need….hope! Ally gave Lemmons just that and something warm, devoted, and loving to come home to. 3 Cheers to his mom, Teri, (WTG mom), and 3 cheers and more to Jerry Sica flying for Pilots and Paws! What a beautiful thing to do for those fighting for us and our country…..so well deserved. Thank you, thank you, thank you….

Thanks to the pilots who offer this service to the soldiers. The attachment of a person to a pet is often every bit as strong as to a child.
