Quotes Of The Day: ‘Catastrophic Success’ On Health Care?
“Congressional Democrats and Obama are headed toward a ‘catastrophic success’ politically if they pass health-care reform in its current legislative form. Democrats pushing so hard for success on health care could find themselves in a situation resembling President Bush's situation on Iraq. They could topple the statue and win the day, but lose politically over the coming months and years.” — Matthew Dowd, in a Washington Post op-ed
“Hold tight. Mind the doors. The cable car is moving again.” — Yvo de Boer, head of the United Nations climate office, referring to the revival of hope that a climate change agreement in Copenhagen may yet be in the offing
“It’s Harry Reid calling, I guess health care will have to wait until we land.” – Senator Charles Schumer, D-New York, after being chastised for not turning his cell phone off as his flight from New York to Washington was preparing to take off
“So much for trying to be incognito.” — Sarah Palin, in a statement to Politico, after TMZ ran photos of her in Hawaii with a McCain campaign sun visor with McCain’s name blacked out

Catastrophic to us if it passes! We don’t need 20 pounds of paper for healthcare, it must have more government control than advertised. More loopholes for future spending and government agencies than advertised ( federal civilian employees average about $30K per year more than the common man). My copy of the constituton which they choose to violate is only 17 pages.
Obama’s comment was stupid as the combination of Obamacare, the stimulus and the other insane spending bills are now expected to triple (rather than double) the current national debt of $12 trillion in just ten years!
Apparently there is no recovery from $12 trillion, which the CBO warns to be unsustainable, so what faith could anyone have in an administration and congress that ignores the debt crisis and keeps on spending?
Medicare currently has $38 trillion of unfunded debt. Watch for rationing, CER panels and QALY scores to hit seniors! CER panels were funded by the stimulus bill, do we dare trust those who sneak such stuff in to our unawares? Are CER panels death panels in disguise?
IF THE SPENDING DOESN’T STOP THERE IS NO HOPE!

Why won’t Harry release the latest version of the Health Care bill? Any suggestions?

The bill simply delivers 30 million new customers to the insurance companies and they must pay the premium or a fine or jail. Even the former democratic leader Howard Dean has called for killing this monstrosity.

Kill the Bill. Enought Corporate Welfare for the Health Insurance Industry.
It’s sad to see our Government conspire with Corporate America to cheat it’s own citizens in favor of the rich.
For such a religious nation, the U.S. has an amazing lack of moral conscience and sense of social justice.
I guess that means religiosity and compassion are inversely proportional?

Obama prefers rapid legislation instead of good legislation. He’s pushing Congress to follow those principals. They rushed through the stimulus bill more accurately known as the pork bill. Either they didn’t know they were giving multi-million dollar bonuses to top executives or they did it intentionally. Either one is bad. $400 million for yet another global warming study was more than I could stomach. Paying people to buy foreign made cars was just as bad.
Now they’re rushing though health care reform. More of the same? We don’t know what’s in there but do they? Who will benifet the most, insurance companies, illegal aliens or pharmaceutical companies?
The pork bill was a fiasco because Obama was in a hurry and politics were more important than the economy. Now he’s in a hurry again and again politics take priority over health care, economy, national debt, our standard of living and everything else this bill may affect.
I guess Hillary was right after all. Obama isn’t mature enough to be the president. Evidently some of his Congress are a bit lacking as well.

Congress has already bankrupt the U.S.
Americans, representing 4.54% of the world population, hold 22.14% of the world debt. When you add the incoming bill for unfunded social security and medicare, $50.50 trillion dollars, Americans debt is greater than the sum of the debt of all 191 countries of the world.
$12.09 trillion (national debt)+ $9.00 trillion (Obama’s projected deficit)+ $50.50 trillion (unfunded ss and Medicare)+ $1.00 trillion (unfunded federal employee retirement)+ $1.5 trillion (Obamacare)+ $2.00 trillion (Crap-and-Tax)= $76.09 trillion (bankrupt). Thank congress, as they couldn’t care less. It is up to the citizens to pick up the tab.
The debt equates to $257,956 per U.S. citizen; $661,663 per U.S. household; $824,847 per taxpayer that actually pays taxes.
We need to impeach them all, including Obama and his psyco Czars.

Remember when ‘Teh One/Obama’ promised the end of partisanship and bickering if he was elected? Remember how he said it was time to “get on with the people’s business”? If there were ever a more sick joke perpetrated on this nation I’d like to know what it was. This bozo is an insane clown POSSE with nothing but wickedness in mind for us. Hello Czar Jenkins, where’s your fist today, in our children’s pants? Get these jerks OUT, NOW.

I agree it’s a catastrophic failure because people are waking up to the fact that Obama has never produced any evidence he’s legally President. HEALTH CARE? HOW ABOUT A BIRTH CERTIFICATE? Republicans need to take back this country from the usurper. I’m NOT joking around. Time for taking it back is NOW.
